They didn't let Naomi Misora have a daughter for part 2 because they FEARED her power, just as they did her mother. She'd blaze a fucking warpath and smite Kira off his god damn skyscraper with the spin kick of the gods. J, DAUGHTER OF MISORA MASSACRE WILL HAVE HER REVENGE.
Yes this is my unhinged posting for my DN x P5 crossover.
She was never supposed to be J. She didn't get to be J. She wasn't good enough to get the rank, to be one of L's Successors. She took it for herself anyways.
Fanfic stuff below the line - J of Wammy's House.
What was it she lacked? She was skilled as a detective, but clearly she was lacking something. She could hatch her own schemes, but could she really stand a chance at killing Kira? She had the burning desire to put him down for reasons she didn't fully understand, but she still knew in her heart she had to go out there. She'd blaze a trail if she had to, force him to show himself again. When she locked eyes with him, she shot him. It didn't matter if she was meant to kill him or not, she trained all her life just to put him down, round after round until not another bullet could be spent, rage tempered by precision. She stared a god of death in the eyes and stabbed him in the heart.
...And it wasn't enough. She'd never be enough to simply kill a god like Kira. She was no L, no Successor, not even Light Yagami.
Just the daughter of a dead woman, Naomi Misora. She didn't even know it at the time. And yet she was fighting on a completely different playing field, against a god who would not go down easy.
...So, after Wammy's House burned in an all-consuming fire, instead of a detective, she stumbled into being a thief. Then she embraced it. She was good at it. She was sharper, faster than anyone else and quick on the draw. It was simpler than fighting a detective's war, but it was also her home field. She wasn't going to give Kira the advantage. Won't play his game.
Then she found another Wammy's Kid, N. Perhaps they were looking for her all along. N was... an enigma. No, really it was a lot simpler when you actually stopped to think about it. They were frightful, childish. The childish of all successors, molded to be so ready to kill. And they burned with the same desire to erase Kira from existence.
The only difference between their shared malice? J would throw everything at the table to put down Kira. N would no doubt, throw themselves at Kira, even if they burned. At the rate they were going, there was no other path for N but one that would burn them with it.
J's idea of losing wasn't just failure, it was the deaths of the people she cared about. She was going to drag N out of the hell Wammy's House put them in.
She was a Phantom Thief, stealing people's hearts was what she did.
