To the person who asked whether anyone has asked Japanese people about Gab's racism: I along with others am aware and do find it offensive. If you want a good explanation of the accent humor, someone wrote a well worded one on blue's blog (it starts with "This is going to be long AF"). If you need an explanation as to why saying "the Japanese always fuck up everything" is racist, if someone said that black people always fuck everything up, you know that's racist. It isn't different with us. -JA

Japanese anon (JA for short?) here again! She didn't deleted the video. It's privated. I think deleting a video would bring a lot more attention to it. A private video can still be accessed if you have a direct link, so people don't might not notice the little "private video" text above the title. It's like she knows she messed up but she also doesn't disagree with the racism. She apologized for the diet she suggested, why not the clear racism unless she still thinks that she's right?

I suppose she’d rather avoid the hassle, and there will be no hassle if we let it slide.

I never left! If the response about Gab in terms of the buzzfeed article has shown anything, it really makes my point clear about how much more hurtful the community can be than Gab's own racism. She said racist things but it's the way that the community tries (and continues to) invalidate voices of the people being hurt because they don't want accept that she can be imperfect that is truly damaging. Casual racism allows people to normalize it and that's the most dangerous part. -JA

I agree with you - I’m flabbergasted at the response. No one seems to want to talk about this. There’s no room for open-mindedness.

People keep asking if Japanese people are offended by this. I don’t know why, but that rubs me the wrong way. If something is racist, it is racist. Those affected might feel silenced by the way the community speaks on these subjects. Whether or not minorities speak out against racism should not define whether something is racist.
