Lexi nodded her head. She turned her back for a bit to pull up the scans to show Scott and Jaal. 

"This was the scan we did while you were sick. We at first thought the thing we saw was a parasite or a virus." Lexi began. Scott saw the small thing in his stomach area. 

"Till we worked with the Science team and some Angaran." Harry said. 

"We ran tests after tests on the samples we took." Lexi said. 

"You're pregnant, Tooshay." Jaal said, excitedly. 

Scott's eyes went wide.

'I wish to discuss a private matter in regards to the Pathfinder.'

Jaal wiped a particle of dust from his visor and nodded his encouragement.

'Since our joining, I've been processing the new Pathfinder's thoughts and emotional stimuli in order to achieve a perfect symbiosis between our 'minds', and the data I've been able to compile all indicates that Scott Ryder harbors particularly strong emotions towards a specific crew member.'

Sudden, but not unfamiliar jealousy struck like the malevolent Remnant lightening.

There was someone!

"Hey. Jaal."

"Pathfinder."

"Help me think of something, quick. You know a lot of ner- uh, scientifically-minded individuals. What can we do that would appeal? Overwhelmingly?"

Jaal snorts. "You want incentive for your brother, to keep him by your side."

"Maybe! Some of us just have the one, you know."

Line rewrite

The archon grabbed Scott by the neck.

Jaal didn't quite catch what Drack grumbles at his side, all he could think about is his own glower at the fiend.

"Unhand him. Now."

I don't have money yet to buy the game yet so I've been watching videos of it and I HAVEN'T FOUND A VIDEO YET SHOWING WHAT JAAL SAYS WHEN THE ARCHON GRABS RYDER!

So this is just what I think goes on.

“ Ryder, darling one,” Jaal starts, voice deep and rumbling. Ryder opens his mouth to ask what the fuck, Jaal , but the alien continues without hesitation: “I have been waiting for you.”

“I--I’m sorry?” Ryder’s voice is an embarrassing squeak. Jaal blinks very slowly -- his version of a wink, Ryder thinks -- and grins, showing his teeth, and then Ryder realizes what Liam and Peebee told him to do. “I was, uh, talking to--” He doesn’t even know the turian’s name, but it doesn’t matter.

The sigh he made almost turned into a shriek as he flipped over in bed and saw Jaal's eyes were open.

"Taoshay." Jaal reached over and stroked his cheek. "You look so tired."

"Sorry I woke you." He didn't protest as Jaal pulled him closer. It was what he had wanted after all. "Go back to sleep. I'm fine."

"Hmm mmm", Jaal hummed, running a hand down his back. His tense muscles loosened at his touch. He wanted Jaal to continue but they both needed their sleep.

"Seriously, I'm fine. And I have to be awake in less than four hours."

"Jaal, hey-" Scott stopped and swallowed, trying to get rid of the sudden dryness in his throat, "can I do something for you?" Please say yes, I'd literally do anything.

The angara was a good few inches taller than Scott himself, making him crane his head up slightly. There was a slight quirk to his lips, a beginnings of what looked like a smile while he stared intently at him. It made Scott swallow again. Being this close to the angara was bad for his health and he was sure SAM was having a field day the way his heart started to thump in his chest.

"Ryder, I apologise, I did not realise you were in here." he said, his eyes still never leaving him.

"Oh, it's alright. I was just finishing up here anyway," Scott replied as casually as he could. "Give me a moment and it's all yours."
