The granddaughter of President Dante Wallace, Jacinta has a bright future ahead of her. But she doesn’t want to lead, she just wants to learn what’s outside Mount Weather. When a horrific accident leads to Jacinta being injected with Grounder blood, she becomes the sole survivor of a tragedy that befalls the rest of her people. Or so she thinks. But there’s another Mountain Man out there, and Jacinta’s list of enemies seems to be growing by the day.

17. “You think this will make me stay?”

There was a blade in Jacinta’s right hand, a gun in her left. Despite the fact that Clarke wouldn’t meet Bellamy’s gaze, his wife was more than willing to, chin jutting stubbornly upwards.

“You tried to kill Octavia.” Bellamy waited for remorse, but none came. “My little sister.”

“Not anymore.” Jacinta busied herself clipping her gun to her belt, cold and business-like. “She’s become a monster, and you’re blind if you can’t see that.”

Bellamy watched his wife incredulously. Clarke he could understand, but Jacinta? She was a mother now, yet he saw no maternal softness in her as she cleaned blood off the blade and stowed that away as well. Jacinta strode over to him, tugging her auburn hair free of its ponytail.

“She’d push us to war. I won’t subject my child to that, even if that means parting ways.”

“You’d take Athena away?” Bellamy’s voice was hoarse with heartbreak. He couldn’t believe that his wife would say something so cutting, even if it was theoretical.

“Using our daughter against me?” Jacinta’s smile was cruel, but her blue eyes welled with tears. “You think this will make me stay?”

“What will?” Bellamy’s voice was pleading, and Jacinta’s silence was the sort of answer that he didn’t want.

Jacinta was right - the things Octavia was doing to push for war were wrong. Yet how could Bellamy be forced to choose between his younger sister and the woman he loved? It wasn’t a fair choice.

“It’s me or it’s her, Bellamy.” Jacinta shrugged her shoulders like it was simple. “I won’t be beholden to a warmonger.”

Omg yes I adore them too! So:

Elia being Athena’s godmother

Anyone threatens that kid and Elia is the first to use her abilities to protect her

Elia and Jacinta playfully teasing Bellamy

Athena calling her “Auntie Elia”and basically thinking she’s great

Bellamy collectively referring to them as “his girls”

Jacinta and Elia being a dynamic duo - when there are fights with enemies, Jacinta will plan their strategy and Elia will be the badass who obliterates them

Elia babysitting Athena so Bellamy and Jacinta can get some sleep
