HAHAHA, man…😖😖 This game was an emotional rollercoaster for me. A lot of things in the game are downright weird or even VERY bizarre, because:

First: There's a lot of fetishistic content. Second: I think the game is incredibly short in many ways.

This game was released a little later as a kind of reward for the public that was waiting for the release of Empire. EP couldn't finish the game and decided to make a new one so as not to disappoint people. So the game ended up appearing as a small stopgap.

I like the game, since it was one of the only ones that EP released alone and complete (unlike many that only told a story without much interaction, as is the case with The Nightmare). But I also dislike it for several reasons (the main one being pure fetishism). But answering some things you sent me (I don't know if they were questions or not, but I think I can answer them)

About Jack and Alice, EP had already said that yes, they weren't a couple and their relationship just happened out of nowhere, they were together for a short time and had Jason. If my memory serves me right, there's a route in the game where Jack abandons us and some people asked EP where Jack had gone and some people deduced that maybe Jack had taken refuge in Alice's house.

Now, guess what EP answered….HAHHA yes, Jack ended up going to Alice and running away from you.

Jack and Alice didn't end up together because Jack was the problem. Jack is a psychopath (according to EP) who doesn't feel emotions. EP confirmed that Jack only married us because we were the only ones he was interested in (but the interest ends up being very fragile because, if we discover who Jack really is, he ends up losing interest and killing us).

Yes, Jack didn't like Ellen because she was "too curious." The character was always described as obsessed; she wanted to know everything and anything about Jack (or anyone who called/charmed her; this was proven in the game in an ending where she became obsessed with us afterward). If I'm right, the character's creator didn't want her to be romantically obsessed with Jack or even with us. It was a more complex feeling than just being in love (Something like, they were her reason for living).

AAAAhhhhhhh….😫😫😫 About the King siblings, I hated that incest fetish that EP had. I much preferred Aria to just be protective of her brother, not in love with him. Aria was a character I found very interesting; she was the younger sister and favorite of her parents, defending her disadvantaged brother from the very people who took her in. She saw herself protecting her brother even from the person he loved (I don't know if you understand me or if I'm rambling too much, but Aria had everything to have a complex and mature development, but all of that was thrown away because EP focused on that unfortunate part of the story (sorry, but I hate those incest plots)).

And the reason for that passion was still very stupid. I wrote some fanfiction at the time, and I completely ignored that part….Aria and Chris will always be my beloved and misunderstood characters.

Thank you so much for your patience with this ask!! Let me know if there’s anyone else you wanted! I just kinda snatched up everyone from The Big Three™️ and Uriel since you asked lol! I went mainly into days off & free time, but I might do more “daily life” headcanons in the future (just a little more broken up!). Because this is such a long one, I’m going to put it under the cut. Preview of Characters included under the cut: Akira Kojima, Sano Kojima, Vincent Metzger Cain Zeitgeist, Samael Volkov, Damien Morningstar, Uriel Metzger Jack Buchanan, Jason Buchanan, Marcus De La Cruz, Christ King Also! Let me know if you guys prefer to have the actual headcanons under a cut in general! Someone mentioned it so I just wanted to offer that to ya’ll see what you prefer!

Akira Kojima: If Akira has freetime, he’s trying to find anything to do to fill it. He can do quiet nights, but quiet days? He’s really bad at those. He’ll try to see what’s going on locally, a foodtruck festival, an arts and crafts fair, anything to get him into a crowd of people. If there’s a show in the park or something, he’ll go there, too. If he can’t find something going on in town, he’ll settle for going to the boardwalk and trying to kill time at the arcade, or playing Overwatch if he’s not desperate to burn physical energy. Once the bars open, he’ll be there, the loud thrumming music and lights always easing the tension in his body. And besides, he can probably pick someone up to have a good time with them, too.

Sano Kojima: Sano’s weird about free time. His mood can really fluctuate from day to day on what it is that he wants to do. There are days where he’s burnt the candle at both ends and he’ll spend his entire day off asleep in bed. He’s typically an extremely punctual man, but when his body says no, he cannot fight it. He’s prone to getting sick frequently despite his career path, always from exhaustion and overworking. He often fails to take care of himself, but at least being sick is a good excuse to enjoy home made soup. If he’s healthy on a day off, he will most likely work on his personal projects. He’ll work on his Living Dolls, his collection of normal dolls, or sketching designs for prosthetics and costumes. If it’s near Halloween, his free time is actually spent in a unique and unexpected way; he often assists in making masks and prosthetics for local haunted house venues and has even been known to tailor assets for them and local theatres.

Vincent Metzger: Vincent’s day to day is pretty much the same in and out. On his days off he usually hits a couple local joints on the bike, catching up with some buddies at each stop. He likes to idle, have a few beers, and then ride with a couple of the guys to the next stop and do it all again. He hangs out at the type of places you can shoot a couple rounds of pool while everyone around you chain smokes and laughs at the new guy. It’s a boys club for sure. If the weather’s nice, he likes to take a longer ride, usually along the shoreline if he can, coasting along for hours at a time to just enjoy the freedom. Weekends, he hits the fight clubs. He loves a good shit show, and he loves a good excuse to beat someone blue. There’s a couple under the table cage fights at the bars he frequents, and he’ll get into it anytime he can.

Cain Zeitgeist: Cain has all the time in the world to always do whatever it is that he’d like. In his free time, he’s usually finding ways to make the lives of those around him more… interesting. There are several people in the World he keeps eyes on, and he spends his free time checking up on them, through things like mirrors, books, and any other meaningless object he’s taken the time to curse with his ability to use it as a portal. Once in awhile he’ll find himself plucking up a random interest in a new someone and spend the entire day making them feel like they’re losing their fucking minds. Cain is, and has always been, extremely bored, and he makes that the problem of everyone around him, Human, Angel, or Otherwise. 

Samael Volkov: Sam is the absolute worst at being off. He needs to constantly be moving and filling his time. Death is never ending and so he’s rarely short on things to do, but even when there’s a moment of peace and quiet, he finds himself trying to fill his time. He looks like he’d enjoy something like reading a book, but he really struggles to slow down and often ends up having to re-read sentences and pages due to letting his thoughts wander to what needs to be done. When he is given time away from his work, he doesn’t relax. His eyes end up on the clock repeatedly unless one of the other Angels’ takes it upon themselves to distract him in some elaborate way (This often winds up being Cain or Gabriel, as they know exactly how to make a wild goose chase just to get the bastard to waste his time).

Damien Morningstar: Damien prefers to spend his days off alone. He cares for the people he works with directly, and he even has a friend or two he doesn’t mind the company of, but a day off is a day off for a reason. He doesn’t want to try and go through conversation, he doesn’t want the awkward grimaces as he waits for responses, he just wants to be alone. He can handle texts and online contact on a day off, that’s fine, but actual physical interaction? Please no. Damien spends a lot of his off time reading and studying, and if he has to have a conversation, it better be with one of the plants hanging somewhere in his room or in the church.

Uriel Metzger: Every day is a day off for Uriel. He is far more of a delegator than a do-er, and he spends his days relaxing poolside, often. Uriel is bitterly annoying on his days off, as he’s often flirting with and chasing around any human unlucky enough to catch his eyes. In their mind, I’m sure it’s a lucky time to hook up with that handsome, charismatic man, and sure the sex’ll be great, but it’s just another Tuesday to him and he’ll be off elsewhere the next day.

Jack Buchanan: On a day off, Jack likes to read. He spends all week reading essays and papers, so when he’s got the time to sit and actually enjoy his time, he wants to read something actually worth investing his energy into. He’ll often set himself up on the couch and put ambient sound on, piano music, rain sounds, or something else. If he’s reading something he’s read before, he might even toss on a movie in the background instead, typically a horror movie from the early 2000’s that’s just easy to glance up at now and again or laugh about if he’s got company (such as the MC from TDDUP). If his partner is around or working on something, he’s also not opposed to reading over their shoulders or editing whatever it is they’re working on.

Jason Buchanan: Jason loves to spend his time off hanging out with his friends or his partner. He’ll often find himself at the comic book shop just looking around, or inviting the people he's closest to out to the movies to catch whatever they’ve been talking about in the group chat. If everyone's busy though, he’s not opposed to time on his own. He’ll often find himself stuck in a loop that starts as a typical walk, but then ends up a nostalgia trip, visiting spots at the local creek or around the woods where he used to hang out and play with his friends as kids. He loves to be outdoors, and time to himself finds him deeply drawn to it, especially when the weather's a little more chilly.

Marcus De La Cruz: Marcus actually spends his days off at home, playing videogames. He’s a super physically fit guy, sure, but going to the gym in the morning only kills so much time. It’s not like he’s out here running an influencer instagram (I could see it happening, though). On his days off he’ll get into his cozies and hang out on the couch, playing games on coms with his buddies or by himself. He goes through phases of if he wants to play Call of Duty or GTA. He’s tried some of those bigger team games and he’s just not ever really been too into it. If he’s bored of the video games, he might see if anyone’s up for watching the game at the local sports bar, but he’s not really looking to go to a club or do too much socially. He’d really just wanna be home with his spouse from TDDUP and parallel play, but if that’s not an option, he’ll settle.

Chris King: Chris doesn’t greatly like time off, because he finds himself very quickly getting into the cycle of thinking if he’s not doing something for other people, he’s useless. He tries to go for a run every morning to keep his focus, and on days off he goes for one twice as long. From there, it’s all routine. He follows a strict schedule to stop from thinking too hard. Take a run, get breakfast, exercise at home, go to the grocery store, go to the gym, take a shower– He does a lot to keep himself moving. If he’s in a better place mentally, he might try to find a garage sale to poke around at, or visit the local flea market. He’s thought about starting a business dog walking to take up even more of his free time, but it hasn’t come to be yet.

While I was looking for more images of these dudes, I found out Marcus probably has another tattoo, but on his back…………. Now I need to draw him again, but from the back this time…..

Drawing this made me realize Chris is REALLY cute with his half slicked back hairstyle. I appreciate him so much more after having to stare at like 6 different images of him for ages while deciding how to interpret his hairstyle XD (I swear it’s literally different in every image)

I feel like I don’t properly capture Jack’s cuteness and it makes me sad………

A darling asked me a question but forgot to turn on anon, but fear not! I'm still going to answer their asks

"what animal or breed of cats/dogs would you assign for your eps rewrite characters?"

Cain: Definitely a long haired breed or a dog whose hair can be styled! I'm thinking poodle, Afghan hound, or Yorkshire terrier! Cat breed? Definitely a gorgeous Persian kitty.

Samael: Xolo dogs! They typically are symbols of death especially in Mexican culture. That or a grey hound. Skinny and quick dogs. And of course, classic black cat. Less representing bad luck, and more so representing his inevitable embrace.

Chris: Definitely a boxer (which honestly is meant to be more of a pun but also since he's such a strong guy). I don't see him being any kind of cat, but if I had to choose I'd say maine coon.

Sano: Bobtail cat! They're suppose to be playful, but Sano is anything but. A very ironic breed for him. That or a Japanese terrier!

Akira: Honestly, same as Sano since they are twins. However, Akira definitely embraces the bobtail cat personality better. They'd both be the same animal, but I think Akira would be a bit bigger.

Annabelle: A curly haired little dauchsand or a cocker spaniel! Emphasis on the curls, they really make those cuties even more deadly adorable. Ragdoll cat! I mean with those adorable wide eyes, how can Sano not fall in love? Along with their even cuter faces.

Marcus: Australian shepherd! Tough dog, but not quite as tough as its German counterpart. Honestly I don't see him ever being a cat tho, but maybe a classic american short hair.

Jack: Classic beagle all the way. Maybe even a wiener dog or jack Russell terrier (I can't spell dauchsand). Looks unthreatening but don't forget he still has teeth!

Sergio: Honestly he'd so be a devon rex. I can see him with the fur pattern especially. As for dogs I'd have to say a small to medium breed, like a boston terrier or a spanish water dog.

Leon: Cane corso or great dane. He's large and in charge and will use his teeth for a good fight. I know Leon would love to be a bengal cat, especially with those striking patterns.

Athena: Doberman. Quiet, trained, but still not afraid to fight. And for cat I'm thinking a gorgeous lynx point!

YAYY TDDUP QUESTION!! ABOUT JASON!, I LOVE JASON he is very cute!!!

I was so excited when he was introduced in marcus's bonus content cuz it confirmed my idea of everyone being connected/knowing eachother somehow!!!: Marcus having Aria as a lawyer and Chris being his childhood bestfriend, Marcus knowing Jason from the police force which means he knows Jack, and it is hinted he knows Ellen in Chris' bonus content!! Also, I had planned to make my pc (player character), Tessa, for Marcus's route Ellen's twin sister. But I had it planned out BEFORE I even finished the game so it ended up just falling right into place because it makes it likely for him to have met Ellen through Tessa because Ellen would be his sister in law!!

I wish we got to see more of Jason. I'm unaware if there's any other games that he shows up in, if so then someone direct me there immediately... I also love that he was suspicious of Marcus in the bonus content, like he just knew something was up.

I love the whole tddup cast, they are all so awesome... i am filled with joy and whimsy when I get to talk about any of them. talking about tddup in general makes me very happy!

Another thing I like about Jason is that. He's got TWO GIRLFRIENDS. Because. yk. Like father like son, so. it gives more of a reason for me to ship Jack with both pc and Ellen!!! Jack having two girls. oh well it does depend on the gender u chose for pc but. Jason dating two ppl just like his papa dating pc and ellen!!! He inherited the polycule genes from his papa guys oh mygod!!!!!!

Polycules save LIVES. While i'm also a multishipper, polycules sumtimez are just better imo. like ohhhh cmon LETS JUST ALL KISS😆😆
