Chapter Twenty: Wild Love
- ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ -
“Don’t know what to say to you now Standing right in front of you Don’t know how to fade in and out Don’t know how to play it cool Lose a little guard, let it down We don’t have to think it through We’ve got to let go
I wanna give you wild love The kind that never slows down I wanna take you high up Let our hearts be the only sound I wanna go where the lights burn low and you’re only mine
I wanna give you wild love...”

August 08, 2017 - Shannon’s house - 6:27PM
Eddie found Buck out in the backyard, sitting in the same lawn chair that he had left there just four short days earlier, but now seemingly a lifetime ago. It was a time before Maddie had been kidnapped with her daughter, by her demented second cousin as it turned out, on the orders of her paternal grandfather.
How the man had found out about Jack had quickly become clear; it had been the Buckley parents.
Maddie had tried to reach out to them shortly after Jack’s birthday party, sending them pictures so they could know their granddaughter. She’d wanted to bridge the distance between them, so that Jack could have at least one set of grandparents in her life. It wasn’t clear why they had told Douglas, but only what had resulted from it.
“Hey,” Eddie said, leaning against the side of the almost completely finished gazebo. He saw that Buck’s gaze was fixed on the house next door, Maddie’s house. The LAPD still hadn’t released it despite the fact that the perpetrators of the kidnapping had been killed.
Buck grunted softly but otherwise didn’t look at him. Eddie expected as much, and slowly reached over and nudged the bottle into his hand. Usually they drank a beer but he’d seen him and Maddie drink bottles or cans of hard lemonade. He had figured that it would be better than a beer, since he seemed to enjoy it. Eddie considered it a win when his lips twitched in a momentary smile.

9-1-1 Fanfics MASTERPOST
I decided to separate my 9-1-1 fanfiction from my Marvel fanfiction. In the case of the crossover, both Mastposts will have the fanfiction.
