Hey, why was the cover art of Thunderdelve Mountain signed “Jack Freed?”

Good catch, I haven't looked closely at that cover art since 2012 and I missed the partially blurred signature at the time. "Jack Fred" was Larry Elmore's pseudonym that he used on work he felt was rushed and below his usual standards. Jeff Easley also apparently used the name, and one or both later used "Jackie Fred' and "Jack F" on some illustrations for Temple of Elemental Evil.  If you say "Jack F" it sounds like it might be a not too subtle coded message, something a frustrated artist wanted to say to an editor with a demanding deadline.

Jack noticed the familiar blond guy seating further down the Pier and moved to join him, grinning. “You know what would’ve been cooler than being name twins?” He asked with a giggle. “Being identical hand twins! It’s a million dollar idea!”

Garden Tea Party

This Thursday, July 18th, Costa Serena residents celebrated Jennifer Hachwrench’s birthday (@gxllygadget) 

Gadget’s friends decided it was time to give the bubbly blonde a surprise and be the ones to put a smile on her face. Her close friends @adella-triton, @ali-the-thief, @meg-pavlis and @highly-functioning-frankenstein gathered the rest of her friends and organized them all so they could build the little garden haven where they surprised her. Adella was the one in charge of bringing the birthday girl, while Ali made sure all the guests were out of sight. A beautiful rosebud cake was baked by our very own Josephine Reynolds (@bakedwithjoy). The event started early in the afternoon and went on until after the sun had set and the tea and pastries had been replaced with cocktails and other sweet beverages courtesy of bartender Jack Frost (@jacksfrxst) and barista Dash Parr (@sorrygottadash).

Disney Getaway

The past Thursday, July 17, a bunch of @ari-triton‘s friends decided to take her on a surprise one-day trip to Disney. 

The idea came to @raphilights and @finn-the-great, also known as Ryghts. Once the decision was made, they quickly enlisted @earth-princess-cornelia, @gemmapenna, @andietriton, @adella-triton, @boo-sullivan, and @caroline-farroww to help. After some planning, getting all the tickets ready and reserving a spot at Santiago’s after, they were ready to go. Everyone woke up Ari by serenading her room that morning, and the birthday girl, the previously mentioned planners and the rest of their guests headed for Disneyland.
