Nick Fury's Dad and Wolverine were howling commandos?
Yep, in EMH they certainly were. In the comics it was Nick Fury himself who was a commando, but for the cartoon they changed it to his dad, presumably because of the timeline wouldn't make sense in modern day. I don't know if Wolverine was ever a howling commando in the comics, though I do think he definitely did stuff with Captain America

Oh boy, did I miss drawing the Ultra Agents... Anyways. Yet another lineup! Featuring the Ultra Agents of Astor City themselves, alongside the two professors with them. In order: Professor Christina Hydron, Steve Zeal, Jack Fury, Caila Phoenix, Solomon Blaze, Curtis Bolt, Max Burns, Trey Swift and Professor Brainstein. Next lineup will be a Ninjago one. Guess what it will be about! After that, Inferno Henchmen, followed by either Rock Raiders, Adventurers or Dinosaur Hunters.
