Pleasant mornings-JackxReader (request)
A/N: And we end the Christmas season with our lovely, Jack. I struggled with ideas for him that weren’t ridiculous or cheesy. Again, I just decided on something simple and somewhat sensual. Because, why not 🤷🏻♀️
MOOD MUSIC: For the love of a princess by Taylor Davis
It was a cacophony of villagers, cathedral bells, and songs that would wake you from your deep sleep. A rather rude awakening on any other day if not for the pair of strong arms wrapped safely about you. It would be enough to lull you back to sleep, but you wanted to enjoy the bliss of his embrace before he woke to help work on the festival. The winter solstice had come, and just outside your window you were certain you’d find snow, and the many children in the village who would be elated to play in it. The colder months were not your favorite, but to be enveloped in Jack’s arms and snuggled into his warm body was a benefit.
“Y/N...” His mumbled words captured your attention, and you shifted slightly in your bed to look at him. His messy red hair was splayed over the pillow, eyes shut tightly as he barely became aware of reality. He was usually a heavy sleeper, but with all the noise outside it was no wonder he too found his slumber interrupted. “What is all that....noise...?” Jack groaned defeatedly, still trying to shake off the grogginess. He ended up pulling you harder into him, resting his chin over your shoulder and blinking quickly in an attempt to clear his foggy vision.
“Everyone is preparing for tonight’s celebrations.”
“And they have to do it now?”
You had to stifle a laugh, because as much as you felt his annoyance towards the others, it only made sense for them to begin preparing everything early morning. There was only one day to celebrate, after all. “Would you rather us stay in bed all day, Jack?”
“Mmm...” He nudged your cheek with his nose, an amorous grin on his features as he made it known of his intentions. “Yes.”
“You should be working along with them.” You smiled back at him, turning around so you could face your lover. He looked stunningly noble in the waking hours, an odd trait to recognize considering both of your status in the world. But if ever a man looked a prince, it would be Jack. He could woo anyone he wished, you often thought, but you were happy it was you he chose.
“I will, later.” Jack cupped your cheek, admiring the smoothness of your skin as he kissed daintily over your nose. “Besides,” You felt his fingertips begin to wander, drifting slowly over your collarbone, and down your sternum until they found the soft curve of your breast. “Tom hasn’t called for me yet, we still have time to enjoy this.” His eyes grew glazed, a sweet intention behind them as he tugged you closer to his chest.
“Jack...” That familiar ache in your body came back, like a soft push to fulfill yourself in some way that only Jack knew. It made you whine pathetically at times, your voice needy and desperate until Jack silenced it with his touch. You wanted him, and his brilliant gaze was more than a sign that he was in just the same mood.
Both of you paused in your activities when a loud knock resounded from the door. Leaving Jack to smile and cover your mouth so your sweet little moans wouldn’t give his position away. You wanted to giggle, to push him off and watch as he grew somewhat irritated by the interruption. But it was difficult to think of anything more than the fleeting touch of his hands on your body.
“Jack, come on! Time to get up, boy!” Tom’s voice grew louder, making Jack sigh heavily in disappointment. He could cave and release you from his hold, but there were better ways to spend his morning than chiseling away at stone.
“He will.” You assured him, placing a finger over his lips to keep him quiet. As much as you enjoyed teasing the sculptor, you were not planning on letting him go just yet.
A/N: Yay, done. Y’all have a lovely Christmas, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the drabbles.
