In between his expert descriptions- "The basic bright-colored rock type in the area looks very much like the cristobalite gabbros in the mare basalt suite..."- Schmitt was broadcasting his excitement in snatches of song and horrible puns. Informed by Capcom Bob Parker that his suit temperature was running a little high, Schmitt responded, "I'm just a hot geologist; that's all."
