It’s time for the 70s shindig held by the Marsdens, all in their outfits including Robert in his ruffles. Robert’s impressed by what he sees in Elaine (‘you look amazing’). The flirting continues between Robert and Elaine on the stairs but she pulls back. That doesn’t last long as SHE’s the one to make the move on Robert and more than one kiss takes place. In the end, Elaine starts to feel guilty as Robert’s supposed to be with Donna (‘it’s not like we’re engaged or anything’) and behinds, how’d she find out?

I’ll make it simple for you, Richie. I’m not abandoning my children. It’s not gonna happen.

Robert tries to defend himself to Andy about Ollie (he was trying to keep him out of trouble) but to him, he’s a grass. Jack & Sarah are not happy about Andy’s actions (while Robert did the right thing) with Sarah going on about lying (hello pot kettle anyone?). Meanwhile, Sarah and Richie have it out about the kids, she not leaving them behind and he only being 19 and not about to commit to three kids.

Sarah: I never even considered leaving without them.

Richie: Hang on a minute, Sarah. Don’t think I’ve had me head around this.

Sarah: You’re gonna have to. Victoria’s only six years old and the boys have been through enough trauma in their lives. If I leave, they’re coming with me.

Richie: If you leave? I haven’t even gotten a commitment from you and you expect me to commit to three kids?

In which I remember there are other characters besides Joe on this show.

That's Jack. No one cares much for him just yet. He's Joe's brother. He now owns the farm, I guess, since their dad is dead. Though no one thinks he should. He's kind of a fish rights activist. And thinks he's surname will get him somewhere even though he's been gone off in the city after abandoning his family.

But mama Sugden is all 'nuh uh, if you wanna live here, you gonna work for it'. I like her.

All I know so far about Joe is that he's the youngest and like animals. And that's enough for now because he's like the most adorable thing ever.
