I just watched the episode where Sean Bennett is introduced.
Can I just say how pissed I am that Sean was written to be Ian's secret half-brother?
Like I am glad that they did something with Gary Bennett being Ian's dad, I'm glad they brought it back but come on!
I really liked Sean and Ian together, they were cute. Ian wanted an actual relationship.
It especially sucks because of how sweet Sean was, he wanted to take Ian places, he was very clearly into Ian and not just what he could get from Ian unlike some of Ian's love interests (looking at you Jack Wyatt). I would've loved to see Ian and Sean actually have a relationship, and have it last. I would've preferred them keeping Ian with someone instead of having him be single and getting into weird relationships (Kash, Russell, Carl's teacher, Jack Wyatt). I think Ian being in a functional loving relationship would be lovely.
His longest term relationship was with Kash, Kash was horrible for Ian. He was an adult man, married with children, heck he even cheated on Ian. In the episode where Kash and Ian break up because of the Jack Wyatt situation (fuck you Jack Wyatt) Kash says he's found someone else. So he's a triple cheater because even if we disregard his relationship with Yvonne he was still supposed to be Ian's boyfriend. Yes Ian cheated but Kash didn't know, he's an asshole and a creep who drove his wife into debt and left his kids, I fucking hate him.
They really had to make the most decent of Ian's love interests his half-brother? What the fuck?
Let Ian have a boyfriend who isn't Kash or his half-brother, please! That's all I'm asking!
