Pennywise in the season finale 🎈🥶
Recap Dandadan 2x07
Sometimes, I wish I hadn't read the manga. What an experience it must be to see these moments animated for the first time… I'm not hiding it, the best thing about Dandadan is its romance and its slice-of-life scenes. And by that, I don't mean that everything else isn't incredible, just that the level of characters and school drama is just too good. Much better than hundreds of romance series that are supposed to only talk about that.
Some details I find interesting to highlight:
The "Moe" moment. Remember it. It will be important in the future.
How Muko and Miko want to take Okarun, probably for interrogation, but quickly abandon the plan when the possibility of Okarun and Momo getting close arises.
How Miko puts the Polaroid of the "Moe" moment on Okarun's jacket.
Okarun worrying about Momo going home alone when… 1) He knows she can take care of herself, 2) When the story began, he let her go alone to the abandoned hospital where there were UFO sightings. He just wanted to be with her and take care of her. This guy is gold.
All the scenes of Momo working and waiting outside are added to the anime, giving us much more detail about what Momo feels and thinks. Everything they're adding is always extra information, not random stuff that has nothing to do with it. I may have felt some episodes better than others in terms of pacing, but I'll never complain about the additions. Chef kiss.
Well… THIS SCENE. If the car scene was already enough to implode, this is on another level. Okarun holding the photo. Having the impulse to take her hand and realizing he's going too far. You can say… well, it's just Okarun being insecure again… BUT… BUT… He leaves his hand open, as if to say… "Well… I won't take her hand, but if she wants to…" skjdhldfksjshdlkfdjs Okarun can't believe his love has been reciprocated. The difficulties this couple goes through to make it official have much more to do with the crazy things happening around them than with them not following a constant progressive path that never breaks throughout the story.
As for the risk Seiko takes. I know I mentioned this in the previous chapter, but she's the best teacher the boys could have had. And, while I understand Aira's words and Manjiro's determination, the truth is that she was already working on a solid plan. It wasn't blindly believing they could keep Jiji away from the water for the rest of his life; he was beginning to control Evil, and in the future, he would have managed to stop him completely. Likewise, she justifies herself and talks about wanting to take responsibility to allow the boys to grow. THIS… THIS IS TEACHING.
THE ACCIDENT. It might be completely silly, but it happens when Aira and Jiji lose focus at the same time because they're focused on their current love interest. Aira starts berating Okarun about what the two of them were doing together so late because she's jealous, while Jiji runs to Momo to tell her about his progress. Everything tells them both that IT'S NOT THERE that their obsession with these people isn't bringing them anything good. When these two start looking at each other, they'll find they have something better together than with Momo and Okarun, respectively. I'm not going to hide. Yes, I ship Aira and Jiji, and I think there are signs that it's worth at least considering.
Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I don't think Evil literally gets stronger over time, but rather that he gets "smarter." The same tricks don't work on him because he's learning. When he uses the barrier house, he knows it will take a while for Okarun to break it, and blocking Momo's hands, she won't be able to move. As for Seiko, the barrier amulet doesn't work in his house because it's like his own temple. Remember, Evil was worshipped as a god in the mountains, so barrier amulets shouldn't work in his home, just as they don't work when Seiko uses them outside of Kamigoe. He's also learned that the boys have detected her weak spot, so he's devised a perfect shield. What Evil doesn't count on is that Momo is a quick strategist who doesn't use water until she has Evil at the right distance, and that the boys are protected by the luck of the Turbo.
Okarun pushing Jiji away… A MAN. I feel so sorry for Jiji, it makes me so sad. I know he feels guilty and that for the first time he's beginning to realize the closeness between Okarun and Momo, but in a way, I think it's also a good thing. Jiji needs to know that the decision he made to stay with Evil has consequences and could hurt those he loves. I think this makes him be much more careful and stay away to try not to hurt anyone. It's not optimal, but it would have been anticlimactic if Jiji decided on something so risky and didn't go through the hardships or see the danger he was in.
I won't allow anyone to throw beef at Aira. She's like an onion with many layers; some superficial, others delusional, and some filled with pride. But beneath them all, there's a competitive girl obsessed with being perfect. Failing destroys her, and being mean isn't her thing either. For those who still think Aira was "evil" in the first episodes, my interpretation of the events is a little different. I think she thought being superficial with others was a victimless crime and that no one could be hurt by flirting with guys or making comments behind their backs. She did act consciously mean with the Momo rumors, but she realized she was wrong and owned up to it without pressure from anyone. Come on… I think this girl deserves forgiveness; she's paying dearly for it after losing the popularity and her friendships she cherished so much. And as annoying as she may be trying to get Okarun, she's truly in love with him. SHE'S JUST A GIRL.
Jiji doesn't want to get close to the group, but he feels particularly distant from Okarun after he almost hurt the girl he likes. He knows about Okarun's feelings for Momo and knows he's partially responsible for what happened, given that he was the one who prevented the exorcism. But Okarun's cold behavior also makes him feel terrible. For his part, I think Okarun isn't as angry at Jiji as Jiji thinks. He's angry at himself and his inability to do more. They've always managed to get out of every situation so far, but this time, Momo was in imminent mortal danger, and he had no recourse to help her.
Okarun can drop his determination for a second to remind us that he's still a nerd. Penny Wise GETS IT ALL INSIDE OUT. HAHAHAHA. He only thinks he wants to hit people or solve his problems with violence… FOR GOD'S SAKE, IT'S OKARUN, HE WANTED TO GIVE YOU HIS PENIS TO HELP YOU.
Couple sweatshirts…
Turbo tsundere. She who didn't want to be liked or care at all about boys, offering to help Okarun with her powers… She might be the first one who might want to withhold that information if she wanted to sabotage the boys. But here we are… She's a queen.
Aira… "I'm sweeter, I would never talk like that"… One of the collateral damages of powers is that they are personality enhancers… HAHAHAHA Aira, you are exactly like that… Stop trying to be sweet to Okarun, he really already knows what you are like. This is one of the reasons why I like her so much more with Jiji. With him, she always shows herself as she is, doesn't try to be sweeter or make scenes.
I really like how Dandadan approaches 'training'. Instead of having endless and boring sagas of characters repetitively training the same movements, they give us a couple of new tools and a tight combat and with that they are already going HAHAHAHA.

Too bad Adventures in Odyssey is a radio show, so I can’t see which characters are fashionistas
I know for a fact Edwin is one, I think he’s the most fashionable/fashion forward person in Odyssey (it’s the theatreness in him, if you’re not going big go home). I think Shakespeare would have a specific look and the only difference would be the colors (button up, vest, bow tie, slacks, loafers for example). When there’s a special occasion, he’s probably change up his style a good bit, making Edwin go “you can do that?!”
The emo kids of Odyssey would also be little fashionistas (my immediate thought is Kelly and Nick, despite Nick being described as a blonde hair boy and wearing a shirt that says “I love my barking tree frog”) (the current Odyssey picture throws me off)
I think Penny would be more fashionable than Wooton. Wooton just rocks a dad/mailman look while Penny works hard to dress cute and they both love it.
I’d love to hear more thoughts on AIO fashionistas!
“Demodogs? Let me show you a demo about how I shoot the dogs.”
Lmao I have been seeing this type of post all over twt and I had to make one. I love this silly old man sm!

IT: Welcome to Derry (2025)
Chapter 1
Stanley lay stretched out in the bathtub, his head resting on the edge, twirling the razor in his hand while feeling the coolness of the metal with his fingertips. The bathroom was neat and orderly, like everything else in his life; it was a little boring, and Stan had always felt there should be some messiness in his life, and now he understood the meaning of that feeling... Bill. Bill had never been an organized person, and Stanley unconsciously felt the need for him, even when Bill wasn't there and Stanley didn't remember him.
Mike's voice still rang in his ears, shattering his mind.
"We have to go back to Derry."
Derry. Just the name was enough to bring the nightmares back: a clown with razor-sharp teeth, missing children, balloons floating in the sky, and blood flowing. Stanley had built a life far away from that cursed town: a good job and a kind wife. It was an illusion he had fooled himself with, and now that he remembered the truth, he could no longer bear it. He remembered the oath he had taken twenty-seven years ago, and it broke his heart because he knew he was about to break that oath.
As he firmly and without hesitation drew the razor across his right wrist, a bitter smile settled on his lips. Blood slowly flowed from his wrist where the blade had precisely and calmly cut, mixing with the water and giving it a faint pink color. He placed his wrist on the edge of the tub and didn't notice the blood staining the wall of the tub red. The initial pain, that sharp and sudden burning, had now turned into a gentle numbness. His body grew heavy, as if invisible weights were hanging from every muscle, pulling him into the depths of his memories... His eyes were half-open, and it seemed he was looking at an image that no longer existed.
Stanley didn't think much about death. No, death had always been something logical to Stan, an inevitable end, like the last page of a book that must be read. Even in his final moments, he didn't think about death; instead, he thought about the memories he missed. The Losers were the only thing he thought about. People who evoked a feeling like home for him. He thought of Richie, of Eddie, of Mike, of Ben, of Beverly, but above all, he thought of Bill and tried to engrave his image in his mind before death. Bill, with his stutter he always tried to hide, his beautiful drawings, and his foolish Gryffindor-like courage. Bill, who always tried to protect everyone. Bill, who was Stan's best friend. Bill, who loved Beverly. Bill, who was Stan's first love. Stan had left those childish and pure feelings in Derry and moved on, but Bill would forever remain one of the dearest people in Stan's life, and his absence had created a hole in Stan's life that he had noticed every second.
That cursed summer when Pennywise had come. The clown, It, the monster—whatever it was—had cast a shadow over their lives. They had fought, they had won, but their victory was hollow, and when they were called again, when the time came to fulfill their promise, Stan couldn't bear it. He had always been the most logical one, the one who saw how futile everything was.
The blood had now filled the entire tub, and Stan's body was frozen; the warmth of the water didn't help much. His hands had grown cold, and his fingers numb. As his eyes closed and his mind sank deeper into an unavoidable silence, the memories attacked faster, like a film playing at double speed. Their laughter while riding bikes, Eddie's obsessions, Richie's jokes, Ben's kind smile, Beverly's mischievous behavior, Mike's wise words... Bill's determined eyes. Before Stan's eyes fully closed, he remembered Bill's eyes, like a memory he couldn't escape. Bill's bright and deep blue eyes that had always captivated Stan.
Darkness arrived like a curtain hiding the sun. Stan's body went numb, and as the last particles of his consciousness slipped away like sand in the desert, he stared into Bill's eyes in his mind... but that darkness, that peace, was temporary and faded after a short while.
Stan opened his eyes—something that should have been impossible. Around him was white, not the white of bathroom tiles or walls, but a complete, endless white, like snow with no shadows. There were no walls, but when he lifted his head, he saw a sky of dark purple stretching as far as possible. His feet stood on something solid, but when he looked down, he saw the same white that didn't resemble a floor. His heart—was there still a heart?—beat fast, but his body was light, without pain, without cold. As if that wound had become a forgotten illusion.
He looked around in confusion, trying to understand where he was. Was this the afterlife? Was it hell? Had all of humanity's conceptions been wrong, and hell was actually an endless white space? As he slowly and uncertainly walked on that strange ground, he muttered under his breath: "Where the hell is this?"
Stan really didn't expect an answer: "You humans always have such a great interest in naming things—something I truly can't understand."
Stan turned in shock, looked behind him, and saw a wooden table that definitely hadn't been there before. The table was simple, dark in color, without any carvings or sharp edges, and a simple wooden chair sat opposite it. Behind the table, a middle-aged woman with a serious face was seated. The woman had long, straight black hair and pale skin, almost translucent, as if made of marble, while her eyes glowed purple. Her appearance was cold, without a smile, without warmth. Something about her face seemed unnatural, but Stan couldn't pinpoint what. Maybe it was the overly sharp angles of her face, or the strange color of her eyes, or perhaps the entire combination was off.
Before Stan could say anything, the woman pointed to the chair in front of her desk: "Sit down, Mr. Uris. We have a lot to talk about."
