A small drawing of Jack-O' for October! 🎃
Jack-O': The Time of the Oath I was originally just going to draw the 2nd image here, but I decided to just draw an additional image with her face also.
I just want to feel like that every day~
(stickerless version under the cut)
I'm thinking of playing GGST regularly again esp. with the release of version 2.0 & Jam coming out soon. Although, I don't think I'll play the latter anytime soon. I mained Potemkin and played Zato-1 as a secondary back in Season 1 and then gradually dropped off around the time Season 2 characters were rolling out till I was basically absent for all of Season 3 & 4. The bitter memories making it hard for me to play GGST are more distant now and I've changed a lot since then, so playing it with different friends doesn't hurt anymore. I'd like to try focusing more on different characters than last time. I'd like to learn how to play Queen Dizzy and, if I'm feeling motivated to learn more, definitely Jack-O'. I dabbled and learned some things with her during the last period I played regularly but I never committed to playing her as a main or secondary; which is funny because I was interested in GGST and eventually bought it specifically because I wanted to main her, at first, before going to Potemkin. There's other characters I'd like to learn or revisit but are not as high in my personal priority list like Baiken, Nagoriyuki, Asuka, and Slayer. I think I'll have more fun learning and playing the game this time around because I've got a somewhat better handle on why I play fighting games, what motivates me to learn, when I'm interested in playing and knowing what kind of emotional state I need to be in to attain a learning mindset, and what kind of company I'd like to keep, in the right context, while playing. I haven't got it all figured out and I may still have rough days ahead but I know how to navigate myself and life in general a lot better than I used to.
P.S. I also unironically enjoy "Perfection Can't Please Me" as Jack-O's theme song. It's one of my favorites in the soundtrack. I don't relate to the hate it gets from so many people in the social circles I'm in.
