to explain my thoughts behind this post I’ve provided my notes btw 👇
headcanon/theory rambling about post-canon nightmare before christmas event + about skully j graves/sebek zigvolt/jack howl (contains spoilers ofc):
we know that Skully lived centuries ago, yet claims to have just turned 16 in the event; I don’t think that Skully lied about his age, I think he got lost in the book at that point in his life and, since it’s its own pocket dimension, it only felt like he arrived hours before the other boys as opposed to centuries
after the event ends and everyone is sent back to Twisted Wonderland, everyone forgets what happened and who Skully is; they only have an empty spot in their memories where he should be, and they feel his presence without knowing it’s him (this part is canon; they felt him kiss their hands even tho they didn’t remember anything about the book)
but let’s say that Skully, who gets sent back to his own time instead, has been so deeply affected by what’s transpired that he couldn’t forget anything about it
when he tries to convince people to like Halloween again, this time he uses the ideas of his friends from the future and it has a different effect; by the time he’s graduated NRC he has already popularized the holiday and become known as the King of Halloween across the globe, though he manages to keep his real identity mostly anonymous
I think he might have died relatively young; once a ghost, he finds himself back at his old dorm, Ramshackle, where he continues to wait to reunite with his friends
getting to the point of my silly little skully/sebek/jack brainrot btw:
(tragic) romcom type scenario where Sebek and Jack are dating and Sebek doesn’t remember Skully ofc, but Skully finally meets him again (as a ghost) one day at Ramshackle dorm
^ which is kinda what this is btw except sebek isn’t able to see him yet here
and anyway Skully is still into Sebek after centuries so he haunts him (hangs around and bothers him) and also ceaselessly flirts with both Sebek and Jack
I don’t think Sebek will ever truly remember Skully, though
haven’t decided if I want all three to date; I think it’s funnier if Skully wants to date both of them but Sebek is not having it and Jack doesn’t know what the heck is going on (but also all 3 have a vibe together yk)
