I never really got a chance to speak my heart out but 13 hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi touched me so deeply that I simply can not shut up! The truth is we never really cared about others’ feelings or never really appreciated the work they do because we all have been too busy hating each other and trying to prove that our country, our color, our creed is superior. Rest is just horse-shit! What I am trying to say is that brave young soldiers no matter which country they are fighting for; with you or against you always deserve our utmost respect. They are assigned with the duty to safeguard their country and shielding its people from the ultimate danger. The danger that might come uninvited. Always ready to sacrifice their own lives in order to save the lives of millions of civilians; leave their families so your families could have an invulnerable future. I mean why someone would risk his life for people who are totally strangers to him? It needs courage and a huge heart!
Even courage is a little less word for the valor the military shows, irrespective of the nationality, color and creed. Even though they are just following orders, fulfilling their duties, they can still resign any time they want. Why don’t they just quit? It’s not the money that forces them in harm’s way but honor, integrity, love, peace, harmony, compassion and the idea of beautiful life is what makes them firm and fearless, ready to face the horrors! The horrors in which you know you might die any minute and are still hopeful!
At the end, I would like to pay tribute to all those fine soldiers who were martyred protecting our land and people and I salute all those who are still fighting so that we could have a better future matchless to one we have now!
