this upd8's gesturing at CC/dagger being transgender & positioned as a predator by swiss (noted bigot) is notable when contrasted to the coach figure that is introduced in the same conversation.

while swiss was concerned about CT interacting with dagger at all, he's actually concerned that 'the coach' (a mysterious mentor, something that has never, not once, been a good thing in homestuck) doesn't visit CT enough. to me this is an allusion to the way that predatory behavior is overanalyzed and read into when it comes to a character who is very clearly transgender (dagger is pretty obviously also 15, and not in any way a danger to CT) but excused when it comes to a male authority figure. if the coach is transgressing in any way, it's by not coming by ENOUGH for swiss's tastes.
