In Defense: (from the top of my head)

-He had a love spell put on him (by Jacks) which literally changed the course of his life, forcing him to completely devote himself to a complete stranger

-His friend (Jacks) betrayed him and had him in a literal coma, also making everyone believe he died

-He genuinely did believe that Jacks was a danger to Evangeline

-He had the archer’s curse put on him, which forced him to hunt down the girl he believed he loved (it wasn’t broken because it wasn’t actually real love, but it felt like it to him because of the love spell)

-he was literally tortured with a whip, which we know cuz of the mirror curse

-MIRROR CURSE

-daddy issues (which, DOUBLE STANDARDS. Cuz ik y’all are reading books about hot guys with daddy issues and now you’re making fun of Apollo 😤)

In Offence: (again, from the top of my head)

-he didn’t really care that he was hurting Evangeline and cared more that Jacks was touching her when he strangled her in bed (get your priorities straight man)

-knows that he is a danger to Evangeline, but acts selfish by being around her all the time (which, is basically what Jacks does as well? Jacks knows he can’t be with her, but he keeps leading her on anyway. SAME THING EVERYONE)

-He stole her memories which is an ENORMOUS invasion of privacy and theft

-He’s framing Jacks for stealing Evangeline’s memories (but Jacks did actually commit the murdering-Apollo thing)

I see a lot of people hoping that Evangeline will take some bloody revenge on Apollo but I really hope she doesn’t. She’s a very forgiving person and she’s a big believer in second chances (even the ACFTL dedication is for second chances). She’s not a violent, revenge type of girl, and I think that’s what makes her so impressive. She has an iron will and she doesn’t let any hurt get to her, instead she actively works to fix things which is incredible. I genuinely think that making her take revenge would be a bad way to use her character instead of taking the opportunity to have some unexpected moment when she’s forgiving Apollo.
