“We are.” Aedon may not have known much about this world, but he knew how to dance. He was actually trained to dance well, since he had to attend his fair share of balls, mostly where women were trying to court him. But this was the first time he actually initiated. This was the first time he asked someone to dance with him. And that was because Jade was special. She listened to his nonsense the first day, she took him in, and she made him feel like he was home. It was a weird feeling that he didn’t understand and didn’t really want to think too much about.
He cocked an eyebrow as he looked at her. “Unless … you don’t want to.” It wasn’t like there was any music. He just wanted to dance with her, so he held her close, one hand on her waist and the other holding onto her hand. He looked down at her and tilted his head.
Jade was gotten by surprise when he pulled her close and held her hand along with placing the other on her waist. It wouldn’t be that hard for one to guess what he meant by that. But different from the prince Jade never really learned how to dance. She wasn’t really interested in that, she was busy trying to learn piano and studying. Her body got tense while he was so close to her, and as he kept holding her like that she suddenly came to the realization she really didn’t want to move away. Not yet.
“No... It’s fine. I think we can dance. But a heads up... I don’t know how to. I might step on your feet a couple of times.” A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she said that, finally letting her free hand rest over his shoulder, her fingertips pressing over the spot ever so softly, her eyes unable to look up at him. The girl didn’t know exactly when he started to feel... special to her. She would try to convince herself it was because he was indeed charming after all. Her feelings were confusing, even more now. But she tried to remember herself to just enjoy the moment. It was just a slow dance.
