Honestly, a fire album. I think this technically would be my favorite album (aside from Memorabila) since I really like all the songs, but alas, the length of all of them has disappointed me (like always, wasted potential in my opinion). This could change though lol. I’m not sure why I’m even surprised anymore since their songs have shortened significantly these last few years, but maybe I have more hope than I’ve ever imagined.
I didn’t know it was a concept album so I was slightly disappointed when it wasn’t (because I had seen people saying that maybe we were going to get solos lol) so that’s my fault LOLOL. I haven’t listened to the spoken tracks though.
Knife was fun! I’ve always been into the rage, hiphop type of songs (and I really liked Daydream and Outside) and so I was super excited for it. Just like always, it’s pity that there was not another verse. Since it was a title track, I thought it’d be longer 💀 but the Bad Desire was so short (even longer than Knife, wahhh) so idk what I was thinking LOL. It’s sad because many songs with this type of style (like Bag Bad Back by RIIZE (a bridge, HELLO), or Fashion by CORTIS - man, even Pass The Mic by them) has managed to stretch to 3 minutes, so it’s a pity their producers decide to cut the songs. In my opinion, it lowers the replay ability, but that’s subjective lol.
No Way Back Home should’ve lowkey been the title track… I really like “Knife”, but :( this song still suits their concept so well, and has a darker tone that I think really fits the concept. It has a bridge! It’s long, but not super long! It feels like an extension of “Bad Desire” and their Memorabilia tracks, but oh well. At first I was unsure about it, but was I wrong as soon as I pulled it up. FIRE!
I like Stealer! It’s fun and groovy.
“Big Girls Don’t Cry” is such a huge loss because what do you mean it’s not even 2 minutes 😭 I loved their voices (Heeseung and Jake’s especially haha) and the lyrics were kinda… but loved the song!
“Lost Island”: LOVE!!! The intro took me out but it’s such a cute song! Might be my favorite aside from “No Way Back Home” but maybe “Sleep Tight” too so idk.
“Sleep Tight”: Ooh, I really like this song too. They lowkey need to do more songs with this style (RnB fits them so well). Jake ate with producing this song. And the lyrics are so good :) Heeseung and Jake did awesome!
