Jadedsilk aka Mythlorn-art takes on the horrors of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.
jadedsilk answered your question: So yesterday when I asked what team should be #1...
Well, were it me, I'd do what challenges me more to do something new. But thats ust me <3
You know, this comment actually got me thinking pretty hard about what those challenges would include for Team Mituna <3 Latula. One of the reasons I want to make quality stuff for a pairing that's pretty easy to mess up. (I actually pretty avidly avoid any fanfiction with Mituna in it, unless it's by an author I already know and trust.)
But then I started to wonder. Creating quality work is good and all, but it takes time and practice to get things right. HSWC is going to be a pretty public thing--though obviously, there is a chance nothing I produced would be seen by anyone other than those on my team.
And with a mental disorder such as the one Mituna has--one that I know very little about and have limited experience with--I feel like I want to be SURE I know what I'm doing before I attempt writing him in this kind of capacity. I feel like I would let down a lot of people, including that lovely anon from the other night, if I messed up his character.
So, yes! This would be a great challenge! But it's a challenge that I don't want to make a public thing.
(I also feel like I'm letting down my followers, who it seems like wanted me to go for Mitula. I'm sorry, guys. I just don't feel confident in my ability to pull it off.)
Therefore, I am almost definitely going for Team Eridan <3 Sollux.
Thank you, everybody, for your input!
J, M, Q. :)
J - Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr
Shows that tumblr inspired me to watch: Dancing on the Edge, The Following, Please Like Me, The Fades (only had 1 short season), Craig Ferguson’s Late Late Show.
I’ve found most of my big fandoms outside of (before) tumblr - all but Sherlock (which I had been meaning to watch before though (*) ) and The Avengers! That one had a lot of tumblr-input; I’d have surely watched it anyway (I’ve always liked superhero cartoons/movies) but tumblr made it big for me.
(And Mean Girls. Not actually one of my fandoms but I wouldn’t have watched that one if it weren’t for all the references on tumblr ;D )
M - Your favorite fanart or fanartist
Oh I couldn’t decide on just one fanart (or one artist for that matter) but here are some of the artists I love:
SPN: Petite-Madame, kakilily, KamiDiox, lettiebobettie
Thorki (among other things): heartbroken-girl, ric951, Roncheg, jadedsilk, wantstobelieve, crazyk-c (Superhusbands/-family)
Merlin: lollypop36, nachte, excalibee
and `alicexz (various fandoms, like Doctor Who)
- but there are so many great fanartists!! (this list is by no means exclusive!)
Q - A ship you’ve abandoned and why
I’ve never really abandoned a ship actually ;) Well, maybe my ships from anime that I watched when I was twelve-ish (among others, Dragon Ball Z - my first fandom with shipping (Son Goku/Vegeta mostly) ^^). Other fandoms, like LOTR or Buffy/Angel The Series, I never left completely, they sort of “fell asleep” but they still give me feels ;)
I've never had cause to abandon a ship completely... I'm not sure I even could ^^ It's like I've ripped a part of my heart out of my chest and handed it over to the ship - and that sails off with it then ;D

(*) I actually started the first episode a few times - and stopped it again because the opening scene put me off, not knowing that it was just this short flashback of John’s (fighting in the war).
Just read the latest chapter to Ruin.
In literally tears. This is why I only try to read PWP. My heart can't be smashed into little pieces.
October is almost over, and my project to fill an entire sketchbook in a month is nearly complete. It's falling apart at the binding, and chunks of pages are falling out, but it's almost done. Once I finish it, I will make a video, flipping through the pages and showing my progress.
When I started this challenge, I worried that it was going to put me off drawing after the month, but I feel really invigorated and encouraged. I've decided that I'm going to continue doing monthly challenges! So November, I'm going to take on the Iron Artist challenge as suggested to me by jadedsilk on dA (who is on tumblr as well, of course). Every day, I'm going to complete a coloured illustration. I'm hoping this will give me the opportunity to draw a lot of fanart I've been wanting to do but haven't because of conventions>w<...
That means, of course, that I'm going to be doing a lot more livestreaming next month than I did this month. You can expect to see more videos coming up on my youtube account.
As part of this challenge, I'm going to offer three extremely discounted colour commissions a week! Each spot is only $5, and you can choose up to two characters per illustration and decide whether you want it digitally or traditionally coloured. I'll be posting more information about that as the time draws nearer and I can show some examples of the kind of work it would be. Normally, I would charge at least $15-20 for this sort of thing, but this November is very special!
I may also be planning some giveaways in the future. I have a lot of cute stuff that needs a good home!
