Send me a letter and I'll tell you my favorite thing that starts with it!
This is for Sir jadowaffles and it's their fault for the whole sad thing because they picked it out and shit so here we go
It had been a little over a week since Vinny and Cole had split. It was a true break up, the two had had a huge fight, and Cole knew there was no coming back from this. They had said words that they could never take back. He had moved back into his old apartment, having taken all of his things out of their apartment as quickly as he could. Both could hardly stand each other right after the split, so he had left as fast as he could. Though, now that Cole was away from Vinny, he couldn’t help but miss him. He had loved him more than he had ever loved anyone else. It was hard adjusting to everything. There was no longer anyone in the bed next to him, no one to laugh with anymore, no one to kiss anymore, no one to cuddle with, to hug from behind, to do everything with. It made his heart break even more, knowing this. Vinny had him so happy, and now that he was gone? Cole was a wreck. As he was sitting there, he heard a small whine. Legend looked up from his spot in the corner at Cole and whined again.
“No, Legend.” He told the dog. Legend stood up and whined a little louder. “No.” Cole said again, a little more stern. Legend got up and walked over to the door and whined again. He had received a glare, but that still didn’t stop him from scratching the door, and whined louder. “No, Legend!” Cole yelled at him. Legend’s ears dropped, not liking to be yelled at, but he continued on, just whining and scratching at the door. Finally, Cole couldn’t take it anymore. “Fine! I’ll take you outside, but that’s it! We’re not going anywhere else.” He said, getting up. He threw on a pair of slippers, knowing he wasn’t gonna go any further than the front of the apartment complex. He grabbed Legend’s leash, and hooked him up, then went outside. Legend walked calmly, staying right by Cole’s side, but still looked upset. Once outside, he sniffed a little at the grass, walked around for a bit, and paused. “What’s wrong, boy?” Cole asked, but it was too late. Legend took off in a sprint, making Cole fall. He let go of the leash threw his hands out to break his fall. “Legend!” He called out, but he was already gone. He got up as fast as he could, and ran around the corner, but the dog was already gone. He let out a sigh, and went upstairs. He knew Legend would find his way back. He always did.
About twenty minutes later, Cole felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He figured that it was just another one of his friends, asking if he was okay and if he needed anything. He normally ignored them, having grown tired of his friends trying to make him feel ‘better’ with their attempts of going out and trying to meet new people. It had become foreign to him. He didn’t want to meet new people. He didn’t want a new potential boyfriend. He wanted Vinny. But that ship had sailed. He took out his phone to check to see who it was, and the instant he saw his name, he began shaking. “Vin ❤” had popped up on his phone. He hadn’t gotten around deleting everything yet, looking at his name was still hard for him, let alone deleting text messages filled with so much love. Cole stared at the phone for a good minute, trying to collect himself. It was probably nothing, an accidental text most likely. Maybe he forgot something, and he was just trying to return it. Or maybe, just maybe, it was a text filled to the brink with an apology, begging for forgiveness, saying that he still loved him just as much as he did, and hoping that they could get back together. Cole couldn’t read that. With what Vinny did, it was unforgivable. It hurt him too much. It was the reason why they had broken up, after all. He set his phone down on the table in front of him, and turned on his TV. “I’m not gonna look at it.” He whispered to himself. About fifteen minutes went by before his phone buzzed again. Cole grabbed his phone as fast as he could, and read the text.
Legend is here at my house. You might want to come pick him up.
Cole just stared at it. He looked at the text above that he ignored, and it was just a copy of it. Legend had ran off to go Vinny’s house. He left him for Vinny. His anger began to rise. It wasn’t all about Legend, he had an understanding. He most likely only wanted to see Joy. But Vinny? He couldn’t even give a simple apology? Was it that hard? Hell, Vinny could’ve just said ‘Sorry’ and he would’ve been back in his arms in an instant. But he couldn’t even get that. His blood began to boil, his anger steadily rising as he kept thinking about it. His hand around his phone began to tighten his grip, and nearly went to throw it. Midway through the act, he thought better of it and put his arm down. He took a deep breath before looking over at the clock. It was already past eight, so there was no point in him trying to leave now. Cole looked back at his phone, and texted back slowly.
I’ll get him in the morning unless he’s too much of a problem.
Once the text was sent, he got one back almost immediately.
Fine
Cole’s blood began to boil again. Did he really not have anything to say to him? After all of this? He didn’t have anything to say to him at all? Fine. If he wanted him out of his life, then he won’t wait any longer. He’ll be gone.
On second thought I’ll just grab him now
He sent back quickly before throwing his phone in his pocket and left.
As soon as he got there, Cole banged on the door. He wasn’t willing to put up with this right now. He was scared and angry all at the same time. He didn’t know how he was even going to look at Vinny. It hurt him to even see his name, but to see him in person? Oh, that was going to kill him. A few long seconds later, Vinny opened the door. He instantly felt sad and upset when he saw his ex-boyfriend. They held each others gaze for a moment. Cole could see the mirrored sadness in Vinny’s eyes. A moment passed, before Cole finally broke their gaze and looked past him. “Where’s my dog?” His voice was hard and cold. He was surprised it didn’t break.
“Over there.” Vinny signed before pointing at Joy’s bed. The two were curled up together. Legend looked the happiest he’d been in weeks. He had missed his friend, and didn’t want to leave. Cole felt so bad for having to take him home. He knew he had wanted to see Joy. The two were best friends. But Vinny didn’t want him anymore. So, that meant Legend couldn’t stay here.
“Legend, come.” Cole called. Legend’s ears perked and he looked up. Though, he didn’t move. “Legend, come.” He called again, this time more firm. No movement. “Legend, come HERE!” He yelled and snapped his finger. He pointed at the floor right in front of him. Finally, the dog got up and slowly walked over, his head hanging low. However, Joy jumped up and followed him. Both sat right in front of him. “No Joy, you can’t come.” Cole’s voice had went back to normal, but he sounded a little sad. Joy let out a whine and didn’t move from where she was. Vinny finally stepped in and tugged a little on Joy’s collar, his sign to tell her to get back. She didn’t listen however and stayed right next to Legend. Cole just shook his head and turned to Vinny. “Where’s his leash?” He asked. Vinny went over and grabbed it off of the table and handed it to him. The whole transaction was awkward, like neither wanted to him to leave, but he had to. The two stood there for a moment, eyes locked. Cole was silently pleading that he would say something, anything, to keep him to stay. A few minutes went by, and nothing was said. “Fine. I’ll let myself out.” Cole said, shaking his head. He turned around and started to head for the door. Both dogs were whining by this point, not wanting to be separated from each other. He then paused, and for a moment, it was dead silent. Cole turned back around and looked at Vinny, who had moved towards him. They were fairly close at this point, as if he was coming to stop him. Their eyes were locked on, both not looking away. Cole was first to break the silence.
“All I wanted was an apology.” He said, knowing he was going to get angry.
“Cole, I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” Vinny signed quickly, starting to get a worried look.
“If you would’ve just apologized, I would’ve never moved out! I would’ve stayed here and everything would’ve been fine!” His voice starting to rise, his blood began to boil. “You don’t get it, Vinny! All I wanted was an apology!”
“I’m sorry! Is that what you wanted?! I. Am. Sorry.” He signed again, starting to get angry himself. “What am I even apologizing for?? I don’t get it! I told you it was alright the night it happened, and now I’m apologizing to you for something that shouldn’t need an apology?” He asked.
“Don’t you dare say what I’m asking for is meaningless!” Cole shouted. “You were a complete ass! You were so rude and inconsiderate of what I told you, and even after you kept on trying to get me to do something I didn’t want!” He yelled, his entire body shaking. Vinny was stunned into silence. “You pressured me, Vinny! And when you finally took no for an answer, you pouted. You kept complaining how I never do anything you want. And you made me feel like shit! Because I didn’t want to have sex!” The neighbor below them was heard banging on the ceiling with something, tired of the yelling. In return, Cole stomped a few times. He wasn’t ready to be quiet just yet. “That was a really shitty move, Vinny! If you really loved me, you would’ve just accepted my answer and not made a big deal out of this! And now look at us! We’re broken up and still arguing!” Cole was panting by this point. He was still shaking, but he was slowly starting to lose his anger. His eyes were starting to water. He just shook his head and took a deep breath. “All I wanted was a simple apology. I wanted you to acknowledge that what you did was wrong. But I can’t even get that.” He had stopped yelling, and for the first time since he had started yelling, he looked away from Vinny. The tears began to roll over, and he quickly wiped them away with his free hand. Legend, who was still at Cole’s side, looked up at his owner and gave a slow, soft whine. “Come on, Legend. Let’s go.” He said, giving the leash a little tug. He had turned to go when he felt Vinny grab his shoulder.
“I’m so sorry.” Vinny signed. He looked up at Cole, and finally saw the hurt in his eyes, the betrayal still present. “I… I had no clue. I shouldn’t have done that. I see now that I hurt you. And I really wish I would’ve realized then.” He kept on. Cole looked at him, and bit his lip. The tears still threatened to come, but he was trying to suppress them. “I promise you, it will never happen again. I swear on my life. I love you, Cole.” Vinny finished. He licked his lips, and then took a step back.
Cole couldn’t take it anymore. He moved and grabbed him and hugged him as tight as he could. “I love you too.” He cried into his shoulder. “I love you so much.”
Vinny hugged him for a few minutes, before pulling away. “Does this mean that we can get back together?” He asked, looking up at him. Cole gave a small nod and pulled him back, hugging him once more.

Calla Lily, Queen Anne's Lace and Magnolia
Calla Lily:If you died right now, what song would you want to play at your funeral?
I don't know, a lot of songs I like aren't really appropriate for funerals? Not that they're dirty or explicit they just aren't on the topic of death.
haha who am i kidding. play recordings of hatsune miku's concerts pls and thanks
Queen Anne's Lace:Would you rather carve pumpkins or wrap presents?
Wrap presents. It's easier. Unless this question is an obscure way of asking which of the holidays associated with this activity is my favorite, in which case, Halloween.
Magnolia:Favorite kind of candy?
