A lexicon of sluts
It's wild to me that they're able to squeeze three of the classic spyrers, using only two poses, onto a single sprue while simultaneously preserving so much of the character of the original designs but here we are.
Not sure that I'm as impressed by the lateral move away from idle rich thrill killers slumming it downhive where their victims won't be missed, to some kind of suburban safari xenobeast hunting rite of passage for the crotchfruit of House Helmawr.
If it strikes you as problematic that the nobility should hunt the underclass for sport, congratulations, you've successfully intuited the surface-level themes. It's okay for the fictitious bad people to do the fictitious bad thing, it doesn't mean you're endorsing the act. That's what made it subversive.
Jakara...
17 for Kara and Jason please.
17. fixing the other persons clothes absentmindedly or like tucking their hair behind their ear U KNOW WHAT I MEAN THAT SOFT STUFF
(This is so soft thank you for giving me the opportunity to write it.)
"Jason, we're late."
Jason came out of their room, buttoning up his jacket. "It's lunch with my family. We're not going to be the last ones there."
Jason walked over to Kara, who was fiddling with her watch. He took her hand, setting the watch for her "Why are you acting so nervous?"
Oh, I'm only going to ask your dad to help me plan a proposal.
Unable to say what was actually making her nervous right now, she reached up to brush Jason's hair from his eyes. "You need a haircut."
"Nah," Jason said, shaking his head, causing the hair to fall right back into place. "Don't think I didn't notice that change in subject."
"You might find out later, if you behave," Kara said as she ran her hands down the front of Jason's jacket, fixing the bottom buttons as she did so. "Come on."
"Yes,, yes," Jason said with a smile, picking up his keys and holding out Kara's helmet to her. When she came over to take it, he took the opportunity to lean in for a kiss. "Whatever has you so nervous, I'm sure it'll work out fine."
"I know," Kara replied with a smile, before lifting up Jason's helmet and offering it to him. "Of course it will."
How could it end any other way?
The light of my life, the sun to my moon. My shining light, my most beautiful Kara. You know how important you are, you know how much you mean. Not just to me, but to every one around you. You light up any room you're in , bringing joy to all. Happy birthday, my dear, and I look forward to spending many , many , more with you.
There are no words to describe how much you mean to me. Thank you so, so much, my dear. 💙❤️
“Tell me about your squad.”
“Detective Barbara Gordon. She was raised by her uncle, you may know him- Jim Gordon.”
“Ah, yes, the youngest chief commissioner in fifty years. Quite a legacy to live up to.”
“Yes, but she doesn’t let the pressure get to her. If she wasn’t a detective, she’d be an IT mastermind. Yet to meet a computer she can’t crack.”
“What do you mean, the computer won’t be fixed until next week? I need that computer yesterday! ... No, I can’t tell you why I need it! I’m a detective, it’s police reasons. ... Damn it, I should’ve just fixed it myself.”
“Next?”
“Detective Donna Troy. Battle hardened exterior.... completely unknown interior. She keeps more secrets than a tween girl’s diary.”
“Hey, Donna-” “Who told you my name?” “Uhhhhhhhh-”
“Interesting. Who are those two?”
“Detective Jason Todd and Detective Kara Danvers. After some years on the streets, Todd was adopted into a large family. Second eldest, constantly wanting to prove that he’s just as good as everyone else, if not better. If you issue a challenge, he’s going to attempt it.”
“No one can climb over that wall. It’s twenty feet high, no footholds.” “Challenge accepted.”
“Did he climb it?”
“Not at all. He broke his arm trying, though.”
“I see. And Danvers?”
“Detective Danvers. She may seem like she’s not paying attention, but she’s cleared more cold cases than anyone I know. And since her bet with Todd, they’ve each closed more cases in half a year than a good detective will in a year.”
“Bet?”
“I can definitely close more cases than you, Todd.” “Is that a challenge, Danvers?” “You know what? Yes. Yes it is. I challenge you.” “Challenge accepted. If I win, I get your car.” “Urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, fine, fine, fine. When I win, I get to take you on the worst date in history.” “Done. I look forward to destroying your car.” “Destroying my.... damnit. Fine, fine. You won’t get to destroy it, because I will win.” “In your dreams, Danvers.” “Only in your dreams do you get to date me, Todd.”
“And those two are your best detectives?”
“Yes.”
“Good grief.”
