Leading off we talk about his passive Living Vengeance. On a minion or monster kill, Varus gains 20% attack speed for 3 seconds. On a champion kill or assist, Varus gains 40% attack speed for 6 seconds. Next, Varus’ four abilities: Piercing Arrow, Blighted Quiver, Hail of Arrows and his ultimate Chain of Corruption.

Varus is a great marksmen! Pick him up and add him to your champion pool.

The Lane 21: Stop Fixating So Much On Britney Spear, She Gets Really Weird

Welcome Summoners to another episode of The Lane Podcast. The Lane is your guide to League Of Legends. In each episode Jake Williams, Brad Chmielewski & Brad Stark talk about what they’ve been playing and hopefully give some tips and insight into the awesome world of League Of Legends. 

In this weeks roundtable episode we get into some of the champions and lanes we’ve been playing as we try to mix things up and get out of our losing funks. We’ve heard about the preview of the new summoner's rift visual update for awhile and share what we’ve seen and heard. As world cup kicks off there are five great new skins available for Maokai, Twisted Fate, Lucian, Alistar, Gragas, plus Primetime Draven. Then for this weeks “In The Queue” segment we reflect back a bit and give some tips or suggestions for our level five selves. Including not taking smite in your solo lane or butting runes before level 20. If you have any other tips you’d share with a level five person, please let us know.

After the guys geek out about the new champion coming to the rift they get into some game information and knowledge for everyone. On this episode they talk about runes, what are they? How you should use them and when you should buy them.

The NextGen Illinois project is a new initiative by the Roosevelt Institute | Campus Network, Young Invincibles, and several other Illinois organizations to activate young people to shape a unique policy agenda for the state of Illinois, and to equip young adults with the tools to create change within their communities.

It’s an effort by young people in Illinois to create a policy agenda for our state, tackling some of the biggest and most important topics state government can take on. NextGen also engages young people to talk about the systems and structures of our state government, because we recognize that we may need to change how our government works in order to see any progress on specific political issues.

LooseKeys Turns 3!

Whew! LooseKeys is three years old today. This last year went by way too fast and I almost missed our birthday this year. I left my full-time gig three years ago to build this business and like I said last year “There hasn’t been a single day that I’ve looked back and second guessed my decision.“

This last year has been a lot less about reflecting on the past, where I came from and how LooseKeys came to be and much more focused on where we’re headed in the future. Since last year, LooseKeys put out another 30 + explainer videos as well as a handful of internal videos that we haven’t been able to showcase. That’s about three different 90 second videos every month. Not bad for a small team. We’ve been working on a ton of awesome projects for a wide range of clients as well as a few internal projects. Whether it’s a client project or an in-house video, we’re always trying to be creative and see what new stories we can tell.  

As we embark on our third year as a company we started rolling our new branding out which is really exciting and you might hear some news about a new team member soon. 

It’s rather exciting and I wanted to thank everyone for the support. Hope you’re enjoying seeing everything we work on.
