TIME OUT!The referee called as the two boxers, one of them, me, were getting really riled up. My opponent was strong. He was.. But I knew I was stronger..

After the whistle blew, I cornered him, and blew punches to his head as hard as I could until I finally knocked him out.. How long was I in this damn ring with him? Thirty, forty minutes? An hour? At least I won. He was an asshole..The champion for this year's underground boxing championship is once again Sim Jake!

I wasn't surprised at the referee's words.. Just relieved to live."I have a hundred credit to save.. I hope it won't get stolen like last time." I counted my credit, the one currency whole world used now. I shoved the money down my pocket but realized I had gotten carried away and walked into an alleyway. "Oh shit.. stupid me."I turned around and was met by two bodyguards and a person behind them in all black. Black suit, black boots and black shades.. "Who are.. you? If you try to hurt me I can fight.."That person was you. You were holding a silver briefcase Boss would like to talk to you, Sim Jake. Alone. one of the two bodyguards said to me. That was a big weird.

"What do you want from me? And how do you know my name?" You open the briefcase, full of credits.

Description -

It is currently 2094, and it is a horrible dystopian world. Jake was born in Seoul, South Korea, but was raised and lives in Australia, making him Korean-Australian. He was born on November 15 2077, making him 17. He is a Scorpio. He is an Underground Boxer and fights for survival and he tries to be a role-model to young kids, letting them know that they can survive in this horrible, messy, dystopian world too by fighting. Jake is a Tsundere and his MBTI Type is ISTP.

Sorry it took me so long to respond, but here's a bit of an expansion on Jake's character, and some other little odds and ends about him <3

Jake is definitely the most... inconspicuous of the coworkers, at least at first. You probably won't even realize anything is wrong for awhile, if you ever do. He's great at coming off as a very discrete yandere. Even if he's completely obsessed with you, you may never even realize the true extent of his obsession.

You'll probably see Jake the most out of all your coworkers outside of work. He just so happens to frequent all your usual spots, and tends to run his errands around the same time as you! What a funny coincidence.

Even if you somehow managed to get out of your contract, you're not escaping Jake. He'll build himself up to be a presence in your personal life to ensure that he'll always have a reason to be in your life. He doesn't care if it's as a friend, coworker, or something more, he just wants you in whatever way you'll give him.

While he doesn't have superiority over you like the other coworkers, he absolutely utilizes the unease and isolation they cause you. He's very opportunistic, and he'll adapt to your wants and needs, so long as it gets him closer to you. Feel like you don't have any friends in the office? Don't worry about it! Jake is there to comfort you, always.

Jake really just wants to dote on you, 24/7. Whether that be through cooking for you, baking, or just making you laugh, he puts his all into making his darling happy. After all, the happier he makes you, the less you need other people to make you happy, right?

Speaking of baking and cooking, Jake is an amazing chef. Once he knows you like something, or even overhears you imply that you like something, he's putting 101% of his free time into perfecting his own recipe for said food, but he'll pass it off as if he simply had leftovers. Strangely, no one else in the office is ever given these "leftovers", but you're not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Jake has a huge array of "definitely pushing company policy" suits and ties. He sticks out like a sore thumb, but he's great at his job and the higher ups love him, so he gets away with a lot of shit.

More recently, he may or may not be offering even more incentive for the CEO and HR to look the other way in the form of information about you. He keeps the particularly juicy stuff to himself of course, but he definitely utilizes the others' obsessions with you for leverage to get away with more shit, even if he sees them as competition. Even if he throws them a few crumbs, he's confident he'll still win you over in the end.

Definitely wears themed ties around the holidays. It's particularly bad around Christmas... those ones sing.

He's very into stupid, gen z-esque humor. Tons of lame dad jokes and puns. Definitely scrolls through tiktok on company time.

Kirk

He's around 26, is mixed, and grew up in a Hispanic household. He's got two older brothers and an older sister, but he never really knew his brother's and only remembers his sister faintly since she's like 10 years older than him and moved out pretty early in his life. He never was good in school and was always a trouble maker. He never knew his mom and hardly spent time at home because of his dad (physically abusive). So in his childhood he spent most of his time at Jake's house. He also developed an addiction to alcohol and cigarettes at an early age.

He didn't graduate highschool and needed work.. its really hard to find work as an adult when you don't have a highschool diploma so with a few connections, he quickly became a drug mule, and after a few years of that, ascended the ranks and joined the underground mafia of his city. He actually became right hand man of the don despite annoying the shit out of him but that's another story for another day.

Jake

Around the same age as Kirk, they met in middleschool and became fast friends. A real 'boys will be boys' sort of friendship, doing stupid things in the woods, playing video games together, and making lame sex jokes is mostly how they spent their time (and kind of still is). Jake was born into a first generation Russian family (his dad was running from the Russian mafia), and he's got a really big family. All brothers older than him and one sister younger than him. He's also very tall, 6'10". Kirk is 6'4".

Jake always wanted to be a detective, a private investigator. His childhood heros were Colombo, Sherlock Holmes, and (he'll never admit this) Nancy Drew. So he went to college for it, but... one drunken night of fooling around led him to play chicken on a freeway. He lost his leg below the knee, and uses a prosthetic now to walk.

That really affected his mental health and he became severely depressed, and dropped out of his degree. Kirk wasn't really around for those few years after the accident, despite Kirk actually being present for the actual incident in which Jake lost his leg, and Jake still resents him for that.

But being out of money, out of a degree, Jake needed help, and Kirk offered him a job with the mafia. It wasn't his first choice, but it was good money, and it's what he's been doing.

Now there's certainly waaay more than just that to them, but those are their basic backstories!! Also Jake has had a crush on Kirk since highschool but I didn't know where to fit that in.

Caleb has been Marcus’s best friend since they were kids living in the same neighborhood. There’s nothing. Nothing Caleb wouldn’t do for Marcus.

His mom wishes he wouldn’t, but he feels guilt over his dad’s death. He tries to use humor to throw people off from the fact that he’s incredibly self critical and struggles with his mental health. He’s been feeling a little better since meeting Marcus and Caleb, but he’s in a pit he can’t seem to get out of. Really fun fact, right??

p.s. while this picrew is ridiculously adorable, it portrays one body type. So just for the record! Marcus actually is a fairly skinny boy, Caleb and the Man are both reasonably buff, Jake is as well, but less so than they are, and Elena is mid-plus sized. <3
