Jane gets sick and whiny and makes Jake wait on her hand and foot.
Haha I love acts of service. Excellent request. Check this out under the break.
Jane wakes up alone in her massive four poster bed, absolutely exhausted. She vaguely remembers Jake tucking her into bed very carefully, something about a cold washcloth on her head. Their home is quiet and still, until…
“Jaaaaake,” she whines, her voice hoarse and scratchy. She can hear the clamber of heavy feet rushing down the hall, but they simply aren’t fast enough. “Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake…” She sniffles despite herself.
Jake’s head pops through the doorframe, with a voice sweet and low. “Yes dear?”
“I’m so siiiiick.” At worst, she has a head cold, a little bit of a cough.
“I know, honeybunny.”
He sits on the bed beside her, gently petting her wet bangs out of her face as she squirms under the covers. She looks like the only thing left of her is a little pink, sniffling head, tucked up to her chin. She frees an arm and pulls him down to bed-level to lie with her, hugging his head directly into her chest.
“Do you want anything? Water? Soup? I can get anything you need in a jiffy, dear.” His voice is muffled against her, but patient.
“Noooo.” She’s oddly cute when she puts on the pathetic routine. “I want youuuu.”
He chuckles under his breath. “I’m right here, Janey.” He put a hand at her waist and snuggled into her a little closer, looking up at her from between her boobs. “Are you sure you –” Jane was in no position to cover her mouth as she started coughing. Directly onto Jake. “... Are you sure you don’t need water or some cold medicine?”
“Hrrngh,” she grumbled as she shoved him under the blankets and back down into her, tilting his head so his ear would press to her heart. “Don’t you dare go anywhere.”
She ran her fingers along his stubbly face and kissed the top of his head. Jane was not often one for cuddling. She is, after all, the president of Earth C, and a very busy woman with an image to uphold. Vulnerability between them often came in the form of a fireside chat that eventually found its way to their bedroom for more spirited “discussion.” Jake loved cuddling with Jane, regardless of the circumstances. It was a treat best served warm. He slid his hands along her body, putting a hand on her plump rump to pull her in close.
“Unhand me,” she hissed, squirming at his touch.
“That’s the first time I’ve ever heard you say that.” He moved his hand carefully to her back, keeping her close against him.
“I’m sick as a dog, buster… No funny business,” she huffed, gently cradling his face, a thumb stroking his cheek.
“No funny business! Promise!” He kissed the space between her pointer finger and thumb. “I love you.”
“Yeah?” She struggled to hold back a cough, but he could hear the smile in her voice. “Even when I milk being sick for my own personal gain?” She leaned down and kissed the top of his head again.
“Shucks,” he whispers as he kisses over her fluttering heart. “I suppose that’s fine by me.”
“Mmm. Then can you do me a few favors, Jake?” She holds him a little tighter.
“Anything for you, sweetcheeks.” He sits up, and her hand runs up and down his arm.
“Can you reschedule all my meetings for the day, get me a sweet treat, and then come here and feed it to me?” She looked up at him extra sweet, batting her eyes at him as extra lubricant to ease into getting what she wants.
Jake looks at her for a moment with a patient grin. He pets her head for a moment before wiping her sweat off on her chest.
“STOOOOOP!” She’s loud and shrill, despite being sick, slapping him on the shoulder and chest ferociously. Each hit is like getting hit by a particularly meek kitten, before gripping onto his shoulder.
“Okay, okay!” He pushes her bangs out of her face and kisses her forehead. “I’ll be right back, my love.”

45 awkward minutes of calls pass by. A “We’re sorry” here, a “She can’t make it today” there. Jake had no idea how Jane fit so many meetings with staff or otherwise into her daily schedule between meals, sleep, and whatever amount of time they could share together at the end or start of the day. How anybody does it befuddles him. He had begun to enjoy the quiet bliss of being a first husband, the occasional dinner with other cabinet members, the nightly desserts. He loved helping her out when he could, even if he was a little fumbling and clueless with it at times.
The sweet treat portion of his various quests for Jane tended to be the easiest. Fortunately for Jake, Jane loved pretty much anything that he’d pick out, whether it be a rich chocolate cake or a well-crafted but understated danish. Today’s selection was a simple and easy classic: a slice of strawberry shortcake. Simple, understated. Jake knocked on the door of the residence’s bedroom before entering, cake in hand.
“Did somebody order a sweet treat?” Jake sidled on over to her and helped her sit back up. Her glasses were cast off across the room somewhere while she tried to sleep.
“Meeee,” Jane called meekly. “I diiiiiid.” She laid her head on his shoulder. “What did you get me?”
“I think I got your favorite.” He cut a small bit off the slice with the fork and put it to her lips. She opened wide before clamping down onto her little bite with an “aumf.” A little color returns to her cheeks as Jake preps another bite.
“Great choice, honey.” She kisses his cheek softly before taking her next bite. The feeding process continues quietly and sweetly until the cake is completely gone, before she wraps her arms around his neck. “You’re way too good to me, Jakey.”
“Jakey? Golly, you must really be sick.” He chuckles and kisses her head.
“I am… And you’re gonna have to take care of me foreverrrrr.”
She lays back beside him and pulls him down to take a nap with her.
