That’s not really the info I’m looking for, but appreciated.  Mostly trying to find a place I can buy large (ish) focal stones but a lot of stuff commonly used in aquascape is rough and jagged; bad news for flowy delicate betta fins.

  Cats!

Shelters are a great place. Going in and meeting the sweeties, seeing if any take to you. Or just volunteering some time to get to cuddle them and help take care, really, if keeping one isn’t an option.

My dog doesn’t work well with other animals, so having one at this point in my life isn’t workable, and I don’t know that even if it WAS that I’d get a cat, I haven’t interacted with one in so long! (Other than casual pets to friend’s cats). 

But I hadn’t even thought about visiting ones in shelters or volunteering some time, that definitely would give the interaction with kitties without owning one!! That’s quite the idea, I’ll have to let that fester if my interest in cats increases!

If most of your nail is still attached but it's black in one spot, likely what'll happen is it'll just end up growing out. Wherever the blood was, it's probably not attached well if at all. I had that happen to my nail once. About half of it was black underneath. It just kept growing out until that section grew out. Just go easy with it and it should be fine. If you do lose the nail, just clean it really well and bandage it up until it grows back.

Nah it was almost entirely black.  Doesn’t seem loose or anything though so idk.  I’ll just treat it nice and wait and see.
