Jamala - 1944
The ‘16 winner! This song really gave me chills! It’s a little odd to me that when they made the official music video (which this is not), they changed “soldiers” to “strangers”. Didn’t want to be offensive I guess haha. I just really love how emotional she gets in this performance. I think that was what made it the winner.

Pain through songs
After listening the Ukrainian winner from last year once again, it becomes even more obvious why she won.
1944 goes beyond the scope of music. It’s more than a song. It has something spectacular, something movie-like in it. It’s a full story through her performance…
And when such an amount of pain gets transmitted through a song, it marks people. Art is about conveying emotions and wonder and her song was able to convey pain in an incredible way.
Jama is not only a wonderful singer. She’s also a masterful performer and an incredible artist.
When I saw 1944 on stage once again, it became even clearer why it won.
Jamala ❤
Aw she's getting married
Ooh symphonic version of ‘1944′, I knew I loved symphonic tracks for a reason. This is epic!! (still prefer the original though).
This version is so cool wtf
Yup still don’t like this song.......
