Happy Birthday Sherlock Holmes!

I think I haven't posted this in here, and I also haven't seen this either in tumblr (due to long hiatus, sorry!) so, Happy Birthday to my very first fictional English Gentleman, Sherlock Holmes!

I am really glad that Yana Toboso put mystery genre in this manga, evenmore, she drew James Brett's Sherlock Holmes and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in Black Butler!

And for me, Benedict Cumberbatch is the most perfect of modern Sherlock! I hope one day, Yana Toboso will draw him! Haha

EP OF THE WEEK : LAZY FRIDAY 

There will be two EPs this week. First, let us introduce you to James Brett, new aspiring musician from Brighton with his second EP called Butterflies & Hurricanes which was just released in May 2017 after the debut EP Can’t Help But Smile. James strums acoustic guitar throughout the EP as his signature along with his raspy vocal character which will let you focus on the lyrics and emotions of the song itself. If you love some authentic musicians with minimalist musical instruments.  

And you must have heard the rising pop star Jasmine Thompson’s newest EP Wonderland (2017) which was just released to be her third EP after Under The Willow Tree (2013) and Adore (2015). When the first EP sounds more mellow and slow paced, the second EP Adore put some electronic dance music touch on it. The third EP combine both of the previous EPs vibes, slow tempo songs like “Old Friends” and “Drama”, than some dance music added on songs like “Someone’s Somebody”, “Words”, and “Wanna Know Love”. Her music become more stable on mid-tempo pop with calming beats and soothing vocals. 

Well, those were two EPs we recommend you for a musing session on this cloudy lazy Friday.

James Brett Downtown

As you know, I’ve been searching for a good hair salon, and I think I’ve found a winner! I went to James Brett and booked an appointment with Chrissy for a hair cut a few weeks ago. Here’s a rundown of my experience:

When I arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff who offered me a tea, coffee or water. I chose tea and it was good quality, no complaints there! One thing that did bother me, was that no one started on my hair until 15-20 minutes until after I arrived. 

The young lady that washed my hair was very friendly. She was very new so her scalp massage skills were not the best. 

I was then seen by Chrissy, who was also very friendly and easy to talk to. She was very fast at cutting my hair, which is very impressive in my opinion. She did a great job and gave me exactly what I wanted. She would check back with me every so often to ensure she was cutting my hair the way I wanted it. 

In the end, it only cost me $66 with tax, which is a great price for a cut with a senior stylist. They even threw in a complimentary hand massage!

A great review for a great salon, I highly recommend James Brett!
