These are Moticos. In the 50s, artist Ray Johnson coined the term "Motico" for his mail-art.

I sent these from my house to my Professor.

So my professor told us that we were going to illustrating one of Aesop's Fables, but he didn't tell us which one. So we were told to cut pieces from magazines and scan them in for our illustration. He had us do many illustrations before he gave us some fables to chose from. Eventually he gave us choices, and I chose The Dog and Its Reflection. So I took one of the illustrations I already had, re-worked it, and here it is.

This is a film poster I did for a short video that I made in high school. It was done for History of Graphic Design. The assignment was to take inspiration from an older piece and create something new. I took inspriration from Ivan Chermayeff's book cover for Common Sense and Nuclear Warfare by Bertrand Russel.
