1969

"Every Man For Himself" is the only recorded release by the Roadrunners, a soul/funk band from Shreveport, Louisiana.

The single was released on the tiny Custom Sound label in limited quantities (around 2000 copies), primarily sold at their shows and through a local record shop.

Due to its rarity and distinctive sound, "Every Man For Himself" has developed a cult following among soul and funk music enthusiasts.

It provides a glimpse into the vibrant, albeit largely undocumented, soul music scene in Shreveport during the late 1960s.

BOTD: Greater Roadrunner

"The most famous bird in the southwest, featured in folklore and cartoons, known by its long tail and expressive crest. The Roadrunner walks and runs on the ground, flying only when necessary. It can run 15 miles per hour, probably with much faster spurts when chasing a fast-running lizard or other prey. Its prowess as a rattlesnake fighter has been much exaggerated, but it does eat a remarkable variety of smaller creatures."

New story of mine in the making, called Road Runners!

Road Runners is about:

Twins Erin and Brandyn Malor, a couple of fugitives who first woke up in this strange prison (their arrest? They can't remember. But they do know they were there for a while), and then planned an escape. They finally do, but now they must avoid getting captured again by the the elite guard of the prison, the Cy1C0N. Their boss is a mystery, even to them. The twins are now on the run, with plenty of questions under their belt, and one goal on their mind: "Make it out Alive"

Gonna change some stuff but that's the gist of it!

No Names Will Be Called by the Road Runners is a deep-cut funk track that exudes raw groove and energy.
