The great leading doctrine of the gospel, is the justification of a sinner by simple faith in Jesus. The apostles continually dwell on this, and keep it ever before the minds of the Lord's people. Just so should we, for only as we are well-grounded in this doctrine — shall we enjoy peace with God, or be strong to labor in the Lord's cause. This doctrine is viewed from various points, which accounts for the various representations given of it, as "being justified freely by his grace" — "being justified by faith" — and "being now justified by his blood." Romans 5 9. THE BLESSING. "Justification." This is more than pardon, for a man may be pardoned — and yet not justified. To justify, is to pronounce a man guiltless, to acquit him of all charges brought against him, and to declare him to be a righteous person. The justified man, is freed from all condemnation; no one can lay anything to his charge in the court of divine justice. He is delivered from the law — being dead to it, and it being dead to him. He is placed under grace — or admitted into the free, full, and unmerited favor of God. He is admitted into friendship with God, who holds free and familiar fellowship with him. He is entitled to participate in, and enjoy, all the blessings of the new and better covenant — such as . . . peace with God, liberty and freedom of access to God, safety through life, and the glorious inheritance when life is ended. ~ James Smith #Christian #Christians #Christianity #truth #true #Jesus #Christ #JesusChrist #amen #quotes #God #amen #quote #Bible #HolyBible #HolyScripture #verse #WordofGod #Bibleverse #JamesSmith #justified #justification #justificationbyfaith #faith #grace #favor #free #freedom #peacewithGod #peace https://www.instagram.com/p/BnggGzBFggn/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=39rh4pe8oo4f

UPCOUNTRY BREWING
by James Smith
“The kind of style that I do” James Smith told WLOS in Asheville, NC “is very replicable. I don’t mind at all sharing with people.” Before leaving Asheville to relocate in San Diego, Smith was known to “drop” his stencil art all over the city for people to find, sometime 4 or 5 portraits a day. When John Cochran opened UpCountry Brewing in 2016 on Haywood Road in West Asheville, however, Smith left a more permanent mark for a grateful community to enjoy. Smith says his work is the product of a journey of self-discovery. His father, who was a Grateful Dead fan, passed away more than a decade ago and Smith began painting as a tribute to him—and while giving his art away has helped Smith discover the value of his gift, hopefully these portraits of Garcia, Hendrix, Joplin, Cash, and others, carry on Smith’s legacy in “Beer City” for a while longer. @1.4.4.0/ @upcountrybrew/

Godly FEAR is a covenant blessing, and a proof that we are of God. If we fear God with a filial fear, we fear to offend him and desire above all things to please him. It is not what will men say — but shall I hereby please God? We are taught in his word how to walk and to please him, and godly fear always prompts us to aim at this end. We shall fear to dishonor him in the world, the church, and our families. God is jealous of his glory — and so is a godly man. He desires to glorify him in the body, soul, and spirit, which are God's. He does not run at random — but prays, "What will You have me to do?" He does not make excuse for infirmities — but sighs out, "O that my ways were directed to keep your statutes always!" His motto is, "No peace with sin — no truce with Satan — no friendship with the world!" because these would lead him to dishonor God. He would rather suffer pain, than . . . grieve the Holy Spirit, dishonor his heavenly Father, or wound the Savior. And when he sees others careless, loose, and licentious; indulging their lusts and giving way to temptations, he says, "I do not do so, because of the fear of the Lord." He startles at sin with, "How shall I do this great wickedness, and sin against God!" ~ James Smith Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord , who walks in his ways! Psalms 128:1 Teach me your way, O Lord , that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
