I feel like it was at THIS MOMENT that Laurie knew that Corey wasn’t himself anymore. Like you can see how different the way she looks at him now is different than how she described her good feelings about him to Allyson after he injured his hand and got it fixed. It’s like (quite literally) over night, he’s not the same nice boy whom she thought would be good for her granddaughter anymore. Something’s changed in him and I think she can sense Michael’s darkness on him like a familiar feeling of dread that something isn’t right in the pit of her stomach.
That’s the only reason I made these gifs is to say exactly that.
