The Caballo / The Jefe

The Caballo is the Borrower term for a common "foot soldier" for a caravan tribe. Caballo are well respected and are known for owning their own weapons and riding their own Radrunners. These roles are paid enough to provide for their families and are typically given the roles by their elders or in-laws

The Jefe (or "Hefay" depending on the dialect) are tribe leaders who coordinate their own caravan hubs. They too own their own Radrunners and weapons but hold a more dignified position as guardians. More often than not, these Jefe will integrate their closer blood relatives into their caravaning business, offering them positions more in line with leading and protecting caravans
