First Listen Friday: Season 6 Wrap Up - Best of the Best Top 5 performances
There are so few songs in this short season! I am not making multiple posts that break things up into best solo, group, etc. Instead, here is my top 5 within those categories. This is how Le Hag sees it.
Best Solos: The Unique solo stands out and that was an easy pick. The other best solo took some soul searching (but no coin tossing). Roderick’s “Take Me To Church” was third in line but these are the top two.
Jane rules. She rules. She breathes fresh air into the Warblers and her solo in this scene is well done all around. It is a great song and an important moment of tension early in the season. I love everything about it.
Unique slays this song and has one of the most iconic moments of the series. it is both a beautiful moment and a gorgeous performance. 11/10.
Best Duets: *gasp* Kurt duets? Who would have suspected I’d pick Kurt duets? Yeah, I know, there are some other good ones but this is my ranking and therefore I decree these to be the best.
Glee makes a Klaine fanvid and we all want to cry. It hurts so good I watched it twice. All the feels! All the Klangst! They sound so good together, why can’t they BE together?!? *dying whale noises*
Hummelberry does Wicked and I am powerless against their charm. Look at these adorable fuckers! This song is a perfect moment and these two deliver good on this duet.
Best Group Number: Is there any doubt that I would pick this one? Not only is this the last group number we get, and therefore the last image of Glee club as group, but it is also a number that includes everyone opening themselves up to joy. And Kurt has on tight red pants.
