Phetjeeja vs Janet Todd | ONE Fight Night 20

Phetjeeja is in that dreaded space where ONE will only book a top fighter twice a year. Crazy cause she's only 23 but considering she's probably seeing life changing money I guess I can't be too bad. Phetjeeja has a claim to being the best women's striker on the planet with serious hardware in sports like Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Boxing (amateurs).

Phetjeeja will return this Friday (Dec. 5) for ONE Fight Night 38 on Amazon Prime. She'll face off with Martyna Kierczyńska in a Muay Thai bout.

Janet Todd vs. Phetjeeja

Janet Todd's retirement fight against Phetjeeja from back in March. This one was for the ONE atomweight kickboxing title. If you haven't seen it already, definitely worth a watch.

Phetjeeja takes UD over Janet Todd in fantastic fight!

Seriously. If you missed it go watch it later on Prime or YouTube or whatever. Tremendous fight. Todd was game. Every time Phetjeeja stepped into the pocket, Todd would try to fire back. And she did good work in spots. The check left hook was a great strike for her. She was doing well when she would counter Phetjeeja's kicks with punches (especially the jab). And I really liked her step in knees, even if Coste hates the very idea of two fighters grabbing one another.

But the sheer pressure, power, and volume of Phetjeeja was on full display. Got right in Todd's face and did not let her breath. Constant barrage of kicks and punches. But the real damage was done when she'd make Todd miss. For as much as she did not seem to mind eating shots to pressure, she'd occasionally slip a punch and return fire and it'd be the most effective strikes of the round. In fact, Phetjeeja scored a knockdown in the last minute of the fight because she allowed Todd to finally come forward. Phetjeeja stepped back, Todd spun all the way around on the miss, and then Phetjeeja countered and put her down.

Wasn't on a win but big props to Todd for going into retirement on her shield. Refused to be shut out the fight, even in a losing effort.

Janet Todd vs Stamp Fairtex 2

Janet Todd is back. The ONE atomweight kickboxing champion is finally set to defend her title after time away and a failed effort at the Muay Thai title. Todd has not fought in kickboxing in 4 years, since taking the title off Stamp back in 2020.

Todd is set to face her most dangerous opponent to date, Thai fighter Petchjeeja. The two will face off in the main event of ONE Fight Night 20 this Friday (March 8).
