7 January
Jake starts following hair stylist Liz Taw who has previously worked with Nicola. He posts a pic of himself at his stylist's studio wearing a green Aran sweater, an Irish brand. Fans hope this is an indication he plans to attend the William Tell premiere.
8 January
Neil Young, Nicola’s MUA, shares photos of her glam for Jake’s William Tell premiere. Nicola and Jake arrive together, as seen in a video from the event. Notably, despite being professionally styled, Nicola does not appear in any red carpet photos. Stories shared by attendees show Nicola seated in the audience, taking photos of Jake on stage and cheering when his name is called.

9 January
Nicola’s birthday. Jake’s friend Dylan shares a photo of himself and Nicola from the Charli XCX concert they attended together, another public moment linking Nicola closely with Jake’s group of friends.
10 January
Jake posts a sweet story for Nicola’s birthday, sharing a picture he likely took and calling her "Sweet One." Nicola reposts his and other friends' stories and later shares a pic from her birthday dinner. The dark red heart indicates Jake’s presence at the dinner.

Nicola follows several of Jake’s friends/co-stars including Ellis, Hannah J, and Laquarn. Fans speculate they met at Ellis's birthday party. They all follow her back.

People magazine post an article referring to Jake as Nicola's boyfriend.

A screening for Big Boys series 3 takes place. Nicola, Jake, Doug, Dylan and Jack attend.

Nicola arrives in Paris for Fashion Week with her sister. A video from her time out shows the ring fans believe is the letter J from Catbird.

Jake announces his role in a production of "A Streetcar Named Desire." Nicola comments on his post using the dark red heart emoji.

Jake likes a British Vogue post featuring Nicola that Aimee shared.
31 January
For Louisa’s birthday, Nicola shares a photo of the two of them from the Renegade Nell premiere. It may be coincidental, but the choice stands out, as it comes from the day she is widely believed to have first met Jake, among countless other moments she could have chosen.
