𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍜 This week I had my first ever visit to @shackfuyu and I LOOOOVED it. It’s a Japanese restaurant from the team behind @bonedaddies and the menu revolves around small plates and large plates (curries, hot stone rice, meats). Food comes when it’s ready, so there’s no starters or mains. We went for the aubergine glazed in miso and topped with bubu arare. No other type of aubergine beats miso glazed, in my opinion. The prawn toast which was delicious, but on the plate is disguised as okonomiyaki. The Wagyu beef tataki which is slightly seared with a beautiful ginger soy dressing. The salmon tacos filled with avocado and gochujang. The rabbit Katsu sando which is a fairly new dish, in a toasted thick bread with a homemade tonkatsu sauce. The Iberico pork pluma which was a joint favourite dish of mine, covered with a black pepper miso sauce, plus you don’t get better pork than iberico. This was joint with the orange miso duck, thick, perfectly cooked strips of duck breast with a sauce to die for. Obviously we got the kinako French toast, but you’ll hear about that in a few days. Honestly i loved it here, I want to go every week. Especially because there’s SO many dishes to try!
