I think his broken leg actually was a turning point for Jared some way. Remember Norfolk when Jensen called him, him emotionally telling Jensen “I never tell you to your face, but you know I love you. I never tell you to your face.” Felt like a first thing…. Maybe he’s been reevaluating life

I think that Jared's mh was badly affected with the broken leg. He couldn't work out, he probably wasn't even allowed to move much in the first few weeks, then his mind telling him that he let people down (filming was laid off for weeks) etc. I'm afraid that this set him back majorly and that's why we are back in this state 😭

It seems like jared has some good support in jensen even if they’re a bit codependent (which i agree with btw). He seemed to be feeling a lot better at purcon compared to jib and it appears that he’s spent a lot of time with jensen already - at the airport together, arriving to con and walking on stage together. Not a tinhat, just glad to see jared doing a bit better and that he has friends like jensen right now

Anon, I want to full on agree with being glad they are there for each other. It's not that this is false because it isn't. I'm saying that I can't fully take accept this as a wholly good thing because frankly, he now lives in Connecticut for one. Two, Jared has repeatedly had breakdowns, the one arrest, and other negative events repeatedly happen. To me, this is all a sign the root of the issues are NOT being solved. Jensen isn't a fixer here. Did Jensen offering his arm this last breakdown fix the issues at hand? No. Is his spending time with Jared fixing the issues at hand? No.... Nothing Jensen or anyone else has offered or done has led to the root issues being fixed.

I'm inclined to think in fact all anyone around Jared has done is keep the cycle going. None of them are encouraging him to go towards what his destiny is calling for, what his mission here is. All anyone is doing at this point is either keeping the status quo or enabling the bad moments. Jared isn't learning the lessons that the higher powers are trying to get him to learn. Until he addresses the root of the issues contributing to his breakdowns, they will keep on happening. Great, he's feeling better for now... This will last how long? Days, weeks, maybe months at best?

Bottom line, yes the codependency is 💯 there and it is keeping Jared and even Jensen in the comfort zones of working and the SPN circle stuff... But it isn't leading to any actual growth or necessary changes on anyone's part. Yet another one of my unpopular opinions people are gonna grab the pitchforks and torches over lol. I just watched Jared’s solo panel from JIB16–A fan asked him how he felt about Sam becoming more resilient in the later seasons. Jared said it wasn’t resilience—it was surrender. He said that was something Sam taught him: you wake up every day not knowing what’s going to happen, you try to figure it out together, but if you lose, you lose—and you just accept whatever comes.

Another fan asked how he felt about Sam choosing to stay with Amelia instead of looking for Dean. Jared said Sam made a wrong choice, but that’s who Sam is—life sends you this way and that way. When the fan followed up, Jared added that Sam didn’t want to form connections with anyone and he personally relates to that a lot—that he doesn’t want to get close to people because he feels like they’ll get hurt if they’re too close to him.

I don’t know what’s going on with Jared, and I’m not sure whether his answers were hinting at something happening in his real life. Seeing him so down really breaks my heart. 😢😔💔

That's just Jared being overly emotional. I guess this question triggered something in him and lead to his anxiety attack later on. I do believe he's in a good place mhi wise in general but sometimes glitches happen and take you off the rails for a short time. And Jared is someone who always tends to put himself down, especially in such a state of mind.

Is it just me or is anyone else concerned how this whole ordeal with his injury affects Jared's mental health? I mean, we know how much he hates to let people down and now not only the filming is postponed for weeks, no he had to cancel a con, too.

Not to speak of him being cooped up inside, probably the first days only allowed to get up for bathroom breaks. He can't work out (we know he loves running), he can't drive, he has to ask for help if he needs anything (again - I think the first few days/weeks he wasn't allowed to get up).

their were fans who saw Jared clearly unwell last night. I’m honestly impressed it hasn’t spread more than it has.. it was like everyone quietly decided to keep this as low key as they could. These people hating on him really don’t care about mental health at all.

There are enough nasty hellers at Jib which would gladly spread the word of Jared not feeling well...I think he could manage till he was in the car.

Of course I feel bad for him, as someone who deals with panic attacks myself, I know how draining they are. But I know how to deal with my attacks, so I guess that Jared knows how to manage his.

So did Jared go in for knee surgery? I thought this injury was to his lower leg/foot area—was it related to his knee not fully recovering from before? Poor Jared, hope he gets well soon.❤️

He tore his ACL years ago on Walker. And he didn't have time for surgery, so they tried it the non-surgical way. My guess is that the limping with the broken foot wasn't good for the torn ACL, so I think Jared's brother (who is an orthopedic surgeon) insisted to get it fixed now.

I’m so glad I found your blog because for real I thought I was losing my mind seeing all this while everyone else kept pretending everything was fine. Ever since Walker started and Jared was always in Austin he’s looked BAD. Like skinny, tired, unhealthy, miserable. But people kept acting like he looked sooo good and I was just sitting there like ??? are we looking at the same person 😭

And I’m sorry but I really do think Gen has a lot to do with his insecurities and drinking. She honestly comes off super self obsessed and more interested in her image and fake influencer friends than her own husband and kids. I’ve seen relationships like this before and they completely mess people up mentally. So sadly it doesn’t even shock me that Jared became suicidal after marrying her.

Also people praising his parents all the time is weird to me because there’s no way someone ends up THIS insecure and attached to women for no reason. The way he latches onto women so fast seriously gives mommy issues vibes. We don’t know much about his childhood but the whole thing feels off.

And the family in general just seems weird af to me. His sister trying to get attention from the SPN fandom was embarrassing enough, but the fact his brother is literally an orthopedic surgeon and Jared still apparently didn’t go to him for his knee problems?? Yeah idk the whole Padalecki family dynamic feels unhealthy as hell.

As you can probably see, there ARE others who share this sentiment, they just simply aren't openly talking on X, Facebook or Instagram as much because stans will attack them or their comments get deleted. Censorship is much bigger on those websites; I straight up refuse to interact with most of the Fandom on X because they go CRAZY.

I know Jared had his first breakdown in 2007 while he was still with Sandy. With this being said, others have notated that it seems Jared started making more of the insults towards himself online around the same time period Gen joined social media, or possibly at the very least became more common after he married Gen. He did say "kill me now" (supposedly joking) every day on the set per this 2008 interview below. Doesn't he look so exhausted here? Exhaustion from the SPN set likely contributed a good bit to Jared's first 2 breakdowns but not this last one April 2026 at JIB....

Regarding his family, well let's just say that I've touched onto reasons why I suspect he has C-PTSD. I questioned things before like why the hell his parents didn't move after the drive by shooting when Jared was about 8 years old, the enduring bullying, the pellet gun incident at the playground, etc. I had private discussions with my friends about a YouTube video of Jeff's brother talking... and most of them noped out of that the same way I did. I didn't want to talk about it in a post back then at risk of being shot at but at this point I say hey, what the hell? I saw this comment on his YouTube with multiple responders trying to correct this person. The man in the screenshot below is NOT Jeff by the way but someone else in the clip lol. I did notice that Clif got the same shot this person mentioned last May be thought was gonna fix everything only to (allegedly) get surgery anyways last Oct. Couldn't tell you what that's all about but I certainly noticed he tagged Jeff in the May post but not October. Damage control of sorts, felt redundant tagging Jeff in 2 posts? Couldn't tell you, certainly is interesting though isn't it? Jared is who said his brother advised him to NOT get the surgery on his one knee.

I made an astrology related post saying I think this is a huge mistake and he won't be able to "move forward" in certain respects if he doesn't get it done... and then he broke his leg late December(?). Hmmm... as far as his sister goes, I remember hearing she went to conventions such as Nashville trying to sell her books. My dear friend I met up with on Nashville Halloween weekend met her there at one con. As a parent, I've never heard of it seen any of her children's books in stores or elsewhere up until I discovered she is Jared's sister and is an illustrator. Yeah kind of embarrassing on her part trying to use her brother's name to sell books. Also, you don't have to like Trump or any other President or politician but on a page that's for showcasing your proffesional work and networking, keep this kind of shit off it and on a private page instead. Doesn't exactly help out the sales, ya know what I mean? But then again, she gets to travel a lot so maybe I'm mistaken? I don't know about his parents BUT I'm sure they're not entirely innocent, amazing parents regardless of Jared claiming they were always supportive. Okay.....

kind of agree with your anon that Jared’s boundaries have seemingly changed again. The panic attack story at jib got me…, that kind of leaning on Jensen is very old Jared not now. Then Jared calling him his “best friend on the planet” at purcon …. Yeesh

Well, the "best friend on the planet" was probably an exaggeration to play into the BROS4life for the fans. Jared definately has other, closer friends.

And I really hope that all of this was just a setback from the broken leg and Jared still dealing with the aftermath of it.
