Watching the most recent fireside chat and getting introduced to the junior lorekeeper Jared Deiro is nice. It's really like we're creating our own Cobalt Soul. Apparently he mostly covers Midst and Candela which explains why I haven't seen him before lol. I'm going to dive into Midst eventually I swear! My brain won't let me commit to a new thing I'm sorry.
Dani's currently talking about how she hasn't really archived anything until recently and she's trying to learn archival practices and librarian skills. She started with Matt's hand drawn maps in a box and I'm just thinking; 1) Is the box fireproof? 2) Is the box in a place mice can't get to it? 3) Can you please scan those maps?
Can we and by we I mean Dani or Dani's minions start an online archive of all of Critical Role's accumulated treasures? There's so many maps and drawings and trinkets and that devil contract he typed up for Percy that one time that Taliesin actually signed, etc.
A physical museum might be a bit much to ask but some time and energy could be spent on a nice museum-esque website. One where you can turn pages and interact with objects and learn about their origin by clicking links to reference pages. You know what I'm talking about? I bet they could get their hands on a 3-D scanner. They could do a real world version for Critical Role stuff and an in-world fully immersive version for Exandrian relics, how cool would that be?
