UNUS: Positivity for the first person to come up on your dash.

The first person on the dash right now is @ladycatherinegordon and I could scream forever about my love for Ella and her Catherine. I’ve known her like a year and honestly, I’m forever grateful for her friendship and our random ass conversations. She is honestly one of the best people I’ve met on this site and I hope so many good things happen for her this year, that she gets to see Star Wars even more, and I look forward to my ridiculous King attempting to corrupt Catherine even more, plenty.

ODIN: Positivity for the first person listed on your “top fans” thing.

My #1 fan on the top fans thing right now is @jarnsidas. I could say so much about my love for Meg as a person and for her characters.  I am so so happy that we’re talking all the time again and you hands down are the only person who can make me like Rollo. Your Rollo and Bjorn, and all your others too are honestly so great and I love writing with them. I love talking to you, hearing about your dogs, your life, even how stressful your job can be. Meg and me are the extroverts in the sea of tumblr introverts and can be so similar and I’m so grateful for her. 

JEDEN: Positivity for the first person you think of.

The first person to pop into my mind is @kristnirpresti, et al. Bas is honestly one of my favorite people and one of my best friends, hands down.  She doesn’t get enough credit for how much love she puts into her muses, especially her new ones. It’s harder than hell to start in a new fandom and I’m not good at that. But, she helps me through SO much and I can talk to her about literally everything, not to mention the love I have for her Athelstan and what we’ve spent a year building. I love our brothers dynamic so much, I love everything we do or will do and I honestly admire your restraint with replies to queue them. 

 EÎS: Positivity for someone you remember from when you first started your blog. 

The first person I really remember encountering first on this blog would have to be @theboatbuilderswife.  Yara is amazing, okay? She does something I cannot do and puts all of her love and muse into one character and has developed Helga beautifully. Her canon divergent is honestly one of the best I’ve seen and she can be so open and helpful to people, if they’re uncertain when they first join the fandom.  RP stuff aside, Yara is a really amazing person okay? I know she has had a lot going on in her own life recently and everyday, I just hope things are working out for her so much, and I enjoy that I’ve had the chance to get to know her this last year and talk to her so much <3

YKSI: Positivity for someone who has been one of your first writing partners, either on this blog or in general 

I am 100% sure the first person I wrote anything for on this blog, was @norseblooded.  Vesta was the one who talked me into watching and I’m so glad I did. But beyond her being one of the first on this blog, I met her probably not more than a month into playing Jax, which was my first attempt at indie rping. From day one, she has been so friendly and open to me. We have the most complicated ships and it’s never interfered with our friendship.  Vesta is that person who I always want to have a good day always, and have all the good things. She inspires me, encourages me and is one of my closest friends, that I have. She helped me through some really bad shit in 2016 and always just tried to help through listening, distraction, telling me not to blame myself. I would follow her everywhere and I only hope I’m as good of a friend to her, as she is to me.

Pool — I’ll write a drabble of our characters swimming together. Snaefrid

Snaefrid could be very difficult to keep out of trouble, from time to time. It just always seemed to find her, and it drove her father absolutely insane. But, she had been seeing Bjorn for not long, but a little bit of time. He was older, but she thought of him as mature, and he was insanely hot. Plus, he listened when she talked. 

But that didn’t mean that she wasn’t mischievous, and she had sent him a text to meet her.  She wanted to go swimming but there was a catch. There was this hotel that had the best pool in the city. It was private and she had more than enough money, and she knew that he did, to just rent a room. But what was the fun in that? She could sweet talk security, and that she did. 

She had told him in her text, that he had to find a way to the pool too, that broke the rules, that she would reward him if he did. She knew that it was late, that the pool would be closed, but still lit up and when she got inside the area, she stepped into the pool in a black bikini that barely covered anything and waited. 

Finally, she saw the door open and she smirked. “I am very impressed. You managed to be mischievous and break rules. You’re not that old, now are you?” Her hand moved to the tie on her bikini, teasingly although she had done mostly teasing him, to this point. It was fun. She beckoned him with her finger and she watched him come into the water and she ran her hand over his chest. “I did say I’d make it worth it.”  

She moved to splash him with a giggle. “You know, you’ll have to catch me first.”

She was having fun. She wanted him to catch her. She’d not been able to stop thinking about him, all day.

I followed because I was SO EXCITED to have kind of led you to Ragnar in a way. I stayed because you are a truly amazing writer and writing anything with you is a joy. You help me explore the relationship between Bjorn and his father, I love it.

“HC” + Bjorn for Snaefrid

Bjorn was surprising, in every way. Princess Snaefrid knew the tales of Bjorn Ironside, the son of Ragnar Lothbrok, knew that he had gone on some journey, by what she was told. But, she found herself intrigued by him, the moment she saw him.  She had never been the type of girl to just let herself be captured, but despite pushing him to his limits, their first night together, she continued to be intrigued and surprised by him. He was surprising when he did not seem to mind the way she had dominated him, that first night.

He was surprising when she expected a warrior who might be a bit harsh, but he turned out not to be that way with her.

He was surprising when he sought her out when he would leave before a battle, when he would find her after, when even if she felt the need to tie him up, he still came to her, almost like he was enjoying her distracting him, for what his life was throwing him.

He was surprising, when she expected him to roll over and sleep, to not be there sometimes, in the morning, but to her surprise, he was often there with his arms wrapped around her.

He was even more surprising when they were getting ready for the big battle and he wrapped his arms around her, not wanting to let her go, anymore than she wanted him to.  

She surprised herself when she found herself, intrigued and drawn to everything he was, craving his body, his touch, but above all, his forehead against hers, and his arms around her.  

She found that life with him from the start was nothing but surprise and she craved every single bit of it, never wanting to let it go, not caring what her father thought, or who objected.  She had known she’d marry him the moment she saw him.

Ragnar has always been more proud of Bjorn than his son likely realizes.  He tends to be harder on him than Lagertha, because he feels that his son will not become a strong warrior and a strong man, without him pushing him a little too hard. It never meant that he did not love him though. He became quite proud of the man he became and although he was not good with words, he understood his son had his own journey. Despite how hard he could be on him, he felt it paid off, when he saw the man his son had become, and even as a man, he recognized some of the same traits that the boy had as a child.
