Tara: How did you know I always wanted to try this restaurant? It's so wonderful. Thank you for bringing me here, love.

Jason: I figured after this hard week we deserved an evening out, just the two of us. I'm glad you like the place.

After dinner, it was time for Jason to reveal the real reason he couldn't wait to take Tara out somewhere fancy. They are now engaged!

The Kats/Larsons

Tara has dreamt about starting a pet shop for as long as she can remember, and now she finally found someone to complement her enthusiasm with (alleged) business skills in Jason. The Larson siblings’ previous endeavours were all deemed unsuccessful, but now that he’s free of Jodie’s restrictions, Jason is confident he’s got what it takes to turn the Kat house into a blossoming centre of pet supplies, it only takes a little more capital now to open the business. However, Tara will have to make sure her beloved cats Faline, Mickey and Samantha don’t ever feel like they come second to the new family project.

Jason and Tara aren't keen on Jodie's husband. Sure, it's not bad to be guests in this house, but there's something off about this man... Especially Tara doesn't understand what she sees in him, despite being her best friend.

Malcolm and Jodie's first child, Elvira Margaret Landgraab is born!

She was born in the Landgraab mansion, surrounded by pretty much all the family she has – her parents, her uncle Jason and his partner Tara.

Tara: It's coming along nicely! It's almost ready for the opening next week. We have all the essentials and more!

And Pet DeliKat has opened. On its very first business day, Tara was at work in the local elementary school while Jason took care of the store.

The first customer he served was none other than Sandy Bruty, the legend herself.

Somewhat ironically, Tara got fired from her job (once again) while at work that day, so she came home early and had a chance to check on how the store was holding up.

The good news was they already had a couple satisfied customers. The bad news was Jason was super tired and had to go back in the house and left the management to Tara for the rest of the day. Although she was happy with the store, Tara was still under the weather from getting fired, and found it hard to focus on operating the cash register. Still, it was a pretty decent opening day for the pet shop overall.

Jason and Tara worked really hard on starting their pet shop business. They both had other jobs (and some of the cats had jobs too) to save up enough to build it up in their yard.

Following Jason's ideas, they expanded the house to make space for it. The room was the perfect size, and they painted the floors and walls to look real cozy and friendly. Unfortunately, getting their awful roof rebuilt wasn't on the agenda yet because of the lack of funds.

Jason: I believe in this project. If all goes well, I think we'll even be able to afford a grill by next year!

Tara: Imagine that! That would be a dream come true.

Of course, besides friends and family, important (potential) business partners, like the Capps and the DeBateaus, were also invited.

Give it up for Mr. and Mrs. Landgraab!

Jason: Congratulations, sis! Nice dig. No more supermarket meal deals for you then, eh?

Jodie, lovingly: Shut up.

A few days later Jodie woke up nauseous. Could the new generation of Landgraab heirs already be on the way?

Malcolm Landgraab enjoyed running the businesses he inherited from his family, although he wasn't necessarily an excellent manager. He liked chilling out in Club Dante after a "hard" day of work at the Electronics Supercenter.

He had been casually seeing Nina for some time when he proposed the idea of going official to her. Nina didn't want to commit and especially couldn't see herself as a rich man's wife. She was still waiting for something, not even she knew what it was, but something bigger, that special feeling that would make her not even think about second guessing if she made the right choice by committing to someone. Malcolm felt like Nina was just using him, he had feelings for her but he couldn't let himself stay in this humiliating position anymore. After one last photobooth woohoo in FM, he broke things off with her.

He didn't have to go far to meet someone new. Jodie Larson and her brother lived just down the road in Bluewater Village, it was hard not to bump into them.

Jodie and Jason lived in an old warehouse that they were trying to turn into a gift shop (not pictured) - the enthusiasm was there but the business never really took off. After Jason fell in love with Tara and quit the business to move in with her, Jodie knew she needed a new plan too. She met Mr. Landgraab just at the right time, and the two started getting to know each other.
