Finding a time for myself was hard once I became 🦋selfless. I had to go through a season of complete paralysis, not knowing if it was ok for me to put my 👦🏼son in the gym childcare to 💪🏽weight train. Or if I was allowed to insist he follow me on a run instead of taking him to go scootering at a park where I have to stand by, unmoving, to protect him from the riff-raff. 🙏🏽But I had to remember the only one I answer to is God. That's it. Not you, not my mother, not my older children who want a say in my life, not my employer, nor my spiritual mentors. ONLY GOD! Psalm 91:1-2 📖 🦋God used Day 39 of @irisministries Heidi and Roland Baker's book "Reckless Devotion" to remind me why I came to #reddingca in the first place---to help this community as a foreigner with no motivation but unconditional love. God brought me and #JasperMatthias here. Your loud eye roll will not convince me otherwise. 🌹To everyone reading this- I am blessed to have a multitude of pastors and leaders and broken, beautiful friends surrounding me here. It's a vortex for us spirit-filled or broken. This town doesn't seem to have much wiggle room in between those two places.
