HELLO @jaspisweek! It’s Day #3, it’s Movie Night, and I’m like two months late because I accidentally wrote a novel! I knew I wanted to do an AU but couldn’t think of which one, and then @callunavulgari was like, “hey, how about you write me something with Lapis using the prompts ‘roots, a haunting love song, and a stolen kiss,’” and my brain went ding!

Our movie AU for Movie Night is: Never Let Me Go. If you’ve never seen it, don’t worry! you don’t need to know it to understand this fic, since I played loose and free with the plot.

All her life, people have been warning her about the two women who live in the stone cottage on the bluff. They’re witches, they’ve got scary powers, they’ll get you and turn you into a barnacle, Clover, so stay where I can see you!

“They’re not witches, they’re aliens,” her sister tells her, aggravated, but Clover doesn’t think aliens are as cool as witches, so she ignores her.

Better yet, she’s going to prove her wrong.
