Statement Concerning Current Events/Allegations
This statement is to address the current false allegations against Florality, brought forth by this carrd. https://florality-beware.carrd.co/ We will address the points made within it and other sources of allegations.
This statement may contain sensitive and/or distressing content. Please read at your discretion.
We will first acknowledge the allegations of tracing by our designer. No such action has ever taken place, and our designer, Planettitan, has provided proof that all the artwork he has contributed to this project were made from scratch, and he has stated that he has only referenced 3D models in the process of making said artworks. Proofs of all art contributed to the project being original works may be found in this Google Drive folder. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1b7S66Kb9IWc3Pu9UIGn6CWmL26tLnqO7
Next we will address the accusations being spread by a Tumblr user.
We would like to preface by saying that the lead dev of Florality, Sebastian, has had no involvement in most projects that have been started by Halvex. Moreover, the topic of AI being used to prevent shoplifting is a bit of a moral dilemma, and we cannot comment on that. However, unlike as stated in the post, Syndia was not intended to be used by large corporations, but rather was intended to be used by small businesses that would be hurt by theft. However, after some consideration, it was then decided it would instead be used for weapon/threat detection.
Moving on to the allegations of AI usage by Halvex and the lack of a Privacy Policy and TOS, our lead developer Sebastian has this to say on the matter:
"Our Privacy Policy and Terms of service does exist since its on our GitHub. Its just a problem with Vercel that refuses to load them. Furthermore, with the AI-driven technologies this was back when we were creating a project called Syndia which was an AI vision project that was meant to prevent and stop school shootings at Universities since one of the founders goes to Virginia Tech which was a target of one of the most deadly shooting in 2007. We have since dropped the project and no-longer work with AI inside of our projects, this was back in 2024. Furthermore, Halvex and Florality are not the same entity. Furthermore, Starlis AI was a project made within a competition without Halvex's involvment. This was a personal project from Yatin who has stepped down from the Florality Project."
Most of Halvex has stepped away from the project, and at present the members of Halvex who remain on the project are Sebastian and Habeeb.
On the topic of Halvex, we would like to clear up some misinformation about said company. Halvex does not provide internet, and is not an ISP (Internet Service Provider). It is a bespoke software development company and network infrastructure company whom you must email in order to speak about working with them.
We would also like to note that while the lead dev of Florality is a singlet, he is very informed thanks to all of us on staff and info given by members of our discord server, and is not going about making this app blindly without knowing anything about DID/OSDD.
Finally, we'd like to address the concern of AI usage in Florality. We can assure you that no AI was knowingly or intentionally used during the making of Florality. However, some external packages were used in the making of Florality. There is a small chance that some packages could contain AI, though it is unlikely to be generative AI or any form of AI that can be harmful. Our dev has provided an explanation as to why Florality was made partially using external packages:
"We use external packages like NextJS (Framework built on top of react by vercel allows easier addition of server side components to the web-application) , TRPC (An API builder that allows for type safe API calls), React (Javascript Libary that allows for us to build complex UI's and stateful UI's on the browser) because if we didn't we would have to build everything from scratch which would have taken way more time and tech debt than if we did use packages. Some packages are required like Clerk because that is how we connect to our authentication service and it is a proprietary service."

We furthermore ask that you please do not harass the creator of the carrd or any users involvedin the accusations, as that's not the intent of this statement.
We appreciate the community holding us accountable for any errors that occur on our end and mistakes we make, however we encourage the community to research and ask us questions rather than spreading misinformation, rumors, and other things that can harm the continuity of the project, as we are dedicated to creating a tool for people with DID/OSDD.We value all our users and thank you for your support of the project, and look forward to your continued support.
With love,
Team Florality.
