So for you, I'll yap about the other fankids I have, whom I've affectionately dubbed the Tadpoles!
First thing you have to know about my headcanons is that I disregard a good chunk of the sequels: To me, Alan is a full vampire, Sam is alive and also a full vamp, and they're married :)
Same sex vampire couples can have kids via some blood moon magic or something. Idk the details yet. A bit of blood during the blood moon and poof! Baby appears. The baby will be a half vampire until they eventually make their first kill. If they want to be human, they'd have to kill their parents.
It's a very conscious choice and requires a lot of energy, accident babies are usually impossible in this case...usually...
That brings us to the Alam kiddos:
Lori Josephine Frog: She was an accident, lol. Sam and Alan were separated for a few years, Sam was coming to terms with being a vampire and Alan was still half and stuck in his basement (a lot of this won't make sense unless you've seen the sequels), and Sam was depressed and missing his husband and a blood moon appeared and somehow a baby showed up- She's...Complex. She has a lot of feelings about being a half vampire and not having a choice in the matter. She's self destructive as hell. Edgar trained her to be a hunter, per her request (These days, any Frogs that still hunt only go after vampires that wreak havoc. They had to adapt since half of the family are creatures of the night), so she's usually away from home. She refuses to make her first kill (A first kill must be a human to count), so she's still aging while her siblings and parents aren't. It causes some distress in the family.
Edward James Frog: No, he's not named after Edward Cullen, he's named after Eddie Munster (and maybe his uncle Edgar a little). He hates being called Ed or Eddie. He's kind of a bum to be honest- He's the last of the siblings to still live at home. To be fair, he literally has eternity to figure his life out, so there's no rush. He's comparable to Greg Universe. He's also very close with Lori and worries about her.
Jay Edgar Frog: His real first name is very embarrassing to him, Jay is just a nickname. He's got a mullet- He's very into fashion design, namely alternative fashion and jewelry. Arms are fully covered in tattoos, there's no more room so he's started to do his legs (Vampires have special ways of doing tattoos...idk what that way is yet- But vampires can't really change their appearance in the traditional way so I'll figure smth out). He's the most cynical of his siblings, he also dabbles in nihilism.
Now, Edgar never wanted kids, he actively got surgery to prevent it (I see him as transmasc so I think he got a hysterectomy, but he could have just gotten a vasectomy if you don't like that headcanon).
However, kids just seem to fall in his lap:
Ripley Deborah Frog: Found abandoned on Edgar's doorstep. Edgar thought it was a trap, but her crying convinced him to take her in. She's a goth and works in a tattoo parlor. She was never that into the vampire stuff, but she's still trained in monster hunting.
Sylvester Alan Frog: Found inside a house after vampires ate his parents. Edgar killed the vampires and was going to leave him at the fire station, but he felt guilty and kept him. He takes after his Dad a lot. He teamed up with Lori, and they're continuing the Frog tradition of being badass vampire hunters.
BTW, all of the Tadpoles' first names are from fandom stuff that their parents like.
Oh, and it's mentioned one of the sequels that Laddie moved on from vampire stuff and has a wife and kids. Those kids and his wife might show up in a future fic, so the kids are Adam and Phoebe and his wife is Suzanne.
