never have i understood someone more in my life
W A T C H I N G
(In theaters for my near-birthday, it's August 18 if anyone is curious.)
It was a form of time travel. Pretending it was 1990 with my mom for my big 40 birthday. We would've no doubt seen the movie together as a kid. That was our little fun together growing up.
The world was a time capsule in that movie. The cityscape opening and the style and music. And the gritty parts of the movie. Reminds me of going into the city with my mom or dad.
Nostalgia for when we didn't go to the movie back then. It's a time travel in a kind of suspension of disbelief.
