I think we as a society don’t talk about the Jayce bridge scene enough, after Jinx’s and Ekko’s fight.
I find it, kinda crazy, the difference between Jayce reacting to death, and all the people from the undercity. Jinx grew up killing people, no surprise, so of course she's used to it. Vi in prison witnessed so much brutality, from herself and other inmates, not to mention the memories of when she was a kid on the bridge, and even then she kept some sense of composure.
Jayce, a grown man in his 30s like a decade older than them, looks at death for the first time on the bridge, the smells, the viscera, the lifelessness, and throws up immediately. It's insane. He has been so detached from everything the undercity had to experience.
But I don't think that's his fault. Piltover secured him that position, coddled him, drove him away from looking at it. He's looking at the atrocities with fresh eyes. More innocent to mortality than people 10 years younger than him, and they drive that point home even more in the scene in the shimmer factory.
Vi is accusatory throughout the entire thing, which makes total sense, of course she's bitter. She has a right to be. Piltover killed her freaking parents. But Jayce is literally seeing mass casualties for the first time in his life. Of course there needs to be some time to process.
SPEAKING OF THE SHIMMER FACTORY SCENE, tbh if I saw dozens, possibly hundreds of children working in a shimmer factory, l'd call off the invasion too. Jesus Christ
What do you even do in a situation like that, break off the supply line in order to drain Silco of power and resources, but possibly kill dozens of kids in the process??? What are you supposed to do?????
