Nothing, just thinking about how Sevika was barely an adult around the time when the enforces killed Vi and Jinx's parents. Imagine turning 18 and the first thing you do is having to get kids from under the rumble

I’m sorry but the statement I think I Hate the Most is “I miss S1 Caitlyn!” “I miss silly Caitlyn!” “What happened to S1 Caitlyn?”
Cuz it’s like I’m sitting here like:
OH
GEE
I
WONDER
WHAT
HAPPENED
And not Only will there be Jinx glazers who deem there was Nothing Wrong with this, but they’ll deem that Caitlyn Deserved it. And Look, I Get that Jinx’s your fav and all, but Nothing about what Jinx did to Caitlyn here was Remotely ok.
“But she didn’t know her mom was there!”
And that doesn’t excuse the Entirety of the tea party scene.
“But Jinx has abandonment issues!” Yea so do I, not Quite on the same level as Jinx does but I’m not about to go Kidnapping and Threatening the person I thought was “responsible” cuz that’s just Fucked Up (also highly illegal)
And No, I’m Not “letting my Caitlyn bias get in the way” of having a discussion with this because I at the very least have the mental capacity to say “it’s not okay that ____ did that”
And it’s to the point where I’m seeing videos like “How it feels to be an Arcane fan with media literacy in 2025” and I open the comments to see that the OP is a Notorious Jinx glazer that treats Caitlyn like the devil like babes if your a glazer for Anyone in this show I’m gonna say that you probably lack media literacy all together because that wasn’t the Point of the Character 🤦♀️
“But you’re a Caitlyn defender”
Exactly. I’m Not a Caitlyn glazer because I’m spending most of my time Defending Caitlyn from Jinx glazers because there’s a difference between the “defenders” and the “glazers” of the Arcane fandom. And I don’t sit here saying “oh Caitlyn was in the right for x, y and z” when she’s clearly Not.
And Most of the time when we’re having a discussion about Caitlyn not only will fans Completely Ignore characters like Ambessa and Salo; they’ll deem you “racist” if you bring up the fact that Ambessa’s the one that’s the dictator/manipulator as if that wasn’t the whole reason she came to Piltover in the First Place. (While Also making “jokes” that compare Caitlyn to two of the most Heinous moments in history. “But Caitlyn stans were racist towards Reed when he made the jokes!” Yea and that was wrong as well! Two things can be wrong at the same time people! It’s not rocket science)
Yea sorry for the rant it’s just that I see the “what happened to Caitlyn?” On So Many TikTok posts that I’m getting mad about it
Hot Take: If Jayvik survive the finale, whatever their sexuality or romantic orientation was before, does not really matter. Why? Well, maybe I am too pan- and demisexual to fully grasp the concept of normative sexuality, but I personally believe, that it would be way more logical for them to be beyond any of those concepts (as Viktors VA perfectly said), simply because of what they have gone through. I mean, Viktor basically became a god. If you look at gods in myth, they are usually open to pretty much any gender and any type of love because...well they are a god. As a god, you are not limited by what limits humans. I also think that being part of a hive mind would erase a lot of the boundaries you felt were there before - if anything Viktor would probably struggle with knowing what his own identity actually is post finale. I am not saying that the first thing they do after waking up (in a beautiful field of flowers of course) is have sex - I actually picture it more as something that happens eventually and gradually? Like, I know it's impossible to really imagine being soulbonded with someone across different universes, but as far as you can, do you believe it's logical that, if you were, you would be bothered by something as trivial as what we percieve to be different levels of physical intimacy or someones gender? That you would care about platonic VS romantic after what they have been through? After what not only Viktor and Jayce in their timeline have gone through, but all the different iterations of them, literally containing ALL possibilities? I mean, Jayce is already touchy with Viktor to begin with and they die embracing eachother, with their lips like...5 centimeters apart. Is it really more likely, that this kind of physicality would just NEVER naturally evolve into holdings hands, a kiss and whatever more, given their situation? Do you think Jayce would be like: "You know what? Throwing my arms around you naked in the astral plane is as far as I go!" Be serious please. I also think, from a character growth standpoint, it would be really neat if Viktor would confront his past relationship with his body and learn to embrace the physical again, by experiencing the opposite of the pain of his past life - so a lot of pleasure essentially. Idk, man. Maybe I am projecting here - I just really think, even though I am not very touchy irl myself, that after going through something like that with another person, sacrificing EVERYTHING to be with them, even if it is just for a few more seconds ... you can bet your ass, that when I am getting them back, I am holding on to them with everything I've got - especially even my thighs.
One thing that will never cease to amaze me is how OVERLOOKED VI’S TRAUMA IS IN ARCANE.
Maybe it’s just the oldest daughter in me talking; But the trend I most often see in Arcane posts, rants and such, is a back and forth over Caitlin and Jinx. Who’s in the right between the two, who’s justified, who has more of a reason to grieve over their dead parent.
Vi is almost NEVER talked about when it comes to who has the right. And that is SO oldest sister of her.
She was the one old enough to properly understand what happened when their parents got killed.
She was the token older sister, always prepared to defend and take the fall for her younger siblings, hell, she was even prepared to get arrested or God knows what to protect Powder, Milo and Claggor at the age of what, 14-16?
She DID get arrested, and she was in there for about 7 years, in the darkest, dampest place she could possibly be, without sunlight, or fresh air, or ANY idea on if she would ever get out, her only hope and reason for pushing on STILL being her younger sister who also accidentally killed their entire family. WHO VI STILL LOVES AND WANTS TO PROTECT DESPITE THE FACT. And we also learn that Vi was definitely physically abused while she was stuck in that cell, (the look on her face when she hears that clunking coming down the hall proves it wasn’t an every once in a while thing.) She was literally forced to grieve alone, in the worst place imaginable, with no one to help her.
She is consistently shown blaming herself for the decisions of other people, because the over-pressured sister and daughter in her will definitely never fully grasp the fact that ITS NOT HER FAULT.
She had to come to terms with the fact that her little sister had chosen to work for and bond with the man that was responsible for the death of their father figure, and even then, after hearing the things Jinx had done, the ways she’d changed, Vi STILL tried to love her, to save her.
She was faced with a choice between her sister, and her (basically) girlfriend, and no matter how much you defend Jinx, or how much trauma she went through, or her lack of emotional maturity, none of that takes away from the pure terror of watching your sister point a gun in the face of someone you love, trying to make you ‘choose’. And then in the same moment, watching your girlfriend point a gun at your sister? Constantly being stuck in the middle of everyone you love?
Almost everyone she has ever loved either died, or completely turned on her, becoming a different person, or just straight up abandoning her.
The difference between her and the other trauma filled children of this series is that she’s not easy to pity like everyone else. She’s actually strong, and hasn’t completely lost her morals or snapped, even after everything she’s been through, so people don’t sympathize with her. She’s the token older sister, overlooked, over relied on, and villainized when she shows any sliver of fragile humanity.
(SORRY FOR MY VI RANT I JUST NEEDED TO GET THAT OUT 😔✊)
I’m not posting, just venting, because I’m honestly tired of pretending that drawings and fanfictions aren’t created by people but are somehow generated by God.
Every single time, in every fandom, I come across the same complaints for at least three male characters: “There’s too much content with girls, where’s the content with men??” Go make it yourself.
No, seriously, I’m done staying silent and ignoring you. Just make it yourselves.
I’m a hyper-feminine lesbian, and I write everything neutral because I’m happy when as many people as possible can relate. This means that every morning, I wake up, turn on my damn computer, and spend at least four hours hunched over writing, and another four hunched over drawing. If you want more content with fewer female readers, self-inserts, or OCs, then instead of whining and bothering us, make it yourself.
I learned to draw because the content I wanted didn’t exist, and I learned to write—in a language that isn’t even my own—so I could create content that satisfied me.
“But I don’t know how to do it.” Then learn. I didn’t know how either.
Every time I see “There’s too much content with girls” about fan-made, free content, I get this insane urge to say, “You know what? Fine. From now on, I’ll write everything for hyper-fem AFAB girlypop readers, since instead of having a constructive hobby, your hobby is shitting on people who make content for themselves and, out of divine charity, decide to share it with the world.”
You want me to write Silco x male reader stuff (not you, sweetheart, who asked nicely—I love you, I swear I’m not talking about you)? Then pay me. You want me to draw Silco with a man? Starting price: €90, payment via PayPal.
If you want to make demands about what artists should create, you’d better have your wallet ready and commission them instead of breaking our backs because apparently, women care more than you do about creating content.
Either commission or spend less time writing borderline misogynistic rants on social media and start producing content yourselves.
Love,
-A "girl" who makes free content for herself and writes and draws more than everyone who’s complaining.
I’m so over seeing y’all out here talking about how Jayce needed to go through horrors™ in the Anomaly to “understand what it was like for Viktor”, like, seriously? You think Jayce didn’t understand? That he lacked empathy for Viktor? I mean, Jayce? That he wasn’t smart enough to grasp what it cost Viktor to get where he is? That he truly had to go through the same hell for— what, exactly? To become more sympathetic toward Viktor? AS IF HE WASN’T ALREADY??
Anyway, hear me out. Jayce didn’t suffer in the Anomaly because he needed to “finally understand Viktor”. Hell no. Even if that made sense, Jayce is an emotional boy — he wouldn’t need a leg injury and months of horrendous isolation in some godforsaken cave to feel empathy. The real reason Jayce went through all that was because stopping Viktor meant becoming his reflection.
Think about it: Viktor’s bad leg is on the right; Jayce’s is now on the left. Viktor used shimmer on his right hand in s1; Jayce got the Rune fused into his left wrist. They’re literal mirror images of each other, down to the braces and gloves.
And it wasn’t about Jayce needing to “experience Viktor’s struggle firsthand”, and it wasn’t even so much about witnessing the destruction Hextech could cause (like, c’mon, it already gave him enough trauma for several lifetimes by the end of s1 — get this man some therapy and he’d be good). No. This was all about Jayce becoming Viktor’s opposite.
Because while Viktor saw the pattern, Jayce saw the message hidden within.
They swapped Jinx and Vi and I have more proof right fucking there on the table. Now imagine Jinx instead of Vi in this scene. Does all the abuse make sense now? does sending her to genocidal dictator as bait with one tiny tiny fucking net makes more sense?
And one more question:
CaitJinx crew. Khm…
How we feelin’?
All my controversial/unpopular personal opinions about Arcane in general because I haven't gotten over it yet and don't care if the hype is already over.
• Ekko's character had so much potential and was completely butchered/wasted;
• That being said, Timebomb is such a terrible ship that they needed a whole au to justify it instead of actually trying to explore the whole dumpster fire that is canon Jinx and Ekko's dynamic. Might be because I'm gay for Jinx, but I felt nauseous watching that episode. It was a waste of time;
• Vi. Poor Vi. What they did to you in season 2 was horrible. Season 1 Vi would have never joined the enforcers and I say that having been a league player before watching Arcane (Yes, I liked torturing myself). They established such a beautiful character, only to completely ignore her core values and personality for the sake of the narrative. That's not good writing. I saw someone once mention that it would have been interesting if Vi had been forced to join them and gosh, it would have been such a blast! It could have been a way to further introduce Caitlyn's descent into dictatorship, show more of Vi's inner struggles and maybe we could have seen Vi being a sort of double agent for the firelights... Vi deserved way better than what she got;
• CaitVi was cute in season 1, but terrible in season 2. I stopped shipping it entirely;
• Caitlyn's whole villain/dictator arc ended too quickly and she needed a better redemption. Or not. Make her worse before she gets slowly better;
• Sevika, Ekko, Mel.... Aka, all the beautiful characters of color of the show who had interesting stories to tell, but were reduced to shells of they could have been. Seriously. The whole black rose arc was so confusing and felt so rushed. The firelights? What firelights, they completely forgot about them until it was time for the music video/final battle. Sevika being given a council seat felt like an attempt to make up for how she was put aside for the sake of a bad written narrative;
• The firelights would have never teamed up with Jinx. I love my girl but they had beef with her. She murdered thousands of them for gods' sake!
• Speaking of her. Jinx, love of my life, my wife.... I'm a psychology student, so I'm aware mental illnesses are very subjective to person and cannot be precisely predicted. Many people found her characterization off in season 2 and indeed, it was very different, but not completely impossible in my view. However, by the way it was written, it made a lot of people interpret it as it suddenly healed by Isha or Silco's death, which is... well, unrealistic. A child's presence could be an emotional anchor and getting out of a toxic environment helps a lot, but it certainly doesn't make your all mental health issues almost 100% disappear. Anyways, like all things in season 2, it could have been written better. Killing her off in the end also sent a terrible message and felt like a stab in the back to the many mentally ill viewers who related to her;
• Isha, adorable baby, but she was just a narrative tool. I knew she was going die the moment I saw her;
• Speaking of narrative tools, so was Maddie. They put her there so we'd be focused on hating her instead of noticing how problematic CaitVi got;
• Ekko and Heimerdinger should have had some conflict with each other. You're telling me that Ekko, my baby boy, would completely ignore the fact that the furr ball had a part to play in Zaun's terrible living by turning a blind eye to it? Nuh Uh!
• Arcane should have had more seasons or more episodes because it needed more time to tie together all the elements introduced in season 1;
• CaitVi's sex scene in the prison cell was disgusting. There, I said it. (And don't go calling me homophobic because guess what? I'm one of them queers!) Vi just failed in trying to get her sister back for like the hundredth time and is probably worried sick because Jinx was clearly suicidal, plus she's IN A CELL, a place where she spent years being tortured in, and then the writers go off and make her go "Oh yes, sex." Even if she did it for the sake of coping, how can I think it's okay for Caitlyn to come onto Vi, who's clearly in a vulnerable position? This was the nail in the coffin for me;
• The whole "hextech is evil because magic is evil and corrupted and blah blah blah' is lazy. LAAAAZY. Instead, talk about how any scientific discovery, any tool, magic or not, can be harmful if used incorrectly. ACTUALLY, use the whole original league lore where the crystal thingies were actually the souls from those bugs I forgot the name of and make a parallel of how Piltover's progress was built on the blood and detriment of the people of Zaun;
• Jesus Magic Herald Viktor was great, but Machine Herald Viktor will be missed;
Anyways, I think have more of these, but my head stopped working right now. So byeee!
