We are now catching up. But this was day 1 after the election was called. Look at this guy. Jaymes Diaz.
Diaz failed to answer many of the questions thrown at him. It started the 2013 election off in a very awkward footing. You can imagine a Simpsons-esque zoom into his brain, and seeing a cartoon ghost town.
Do you reckon he lives at home? Strikes me as a live at home type.
Read a pretty decent write up in SMH.
How did this guy even get to run? Again SMH (surprising I know) has a pretty decent write up on why the poor people of Greenway have this guy as a possibility.
Well done Channel Ten.
Jaymes Diaz is the Liberal Party candidate for Greenway, NSW
In a way I feel sorry for him, because what was initially 6 minutes of a terrible interview (and probably an 'omfg-just-let-this-be-over' experience) has since spiraled into a viral shitstorm.
But really, in his field of work, party policy is what you're supposed to live and breathe. I honestly don't understand how he thought he could get away with a few vague points and not know his shit. Now he's dealing with the repercussions and it's going to be a huge PR mess but honestly, what did you expect, working in politics? (Also you would kind of expect that someone running for a seat would have mastered better bsing skills..)
From his so called 'door knocking' experiences, the people he's talked to in his electorate seem pretty liberal, but apparently it's actually 'super marginal'. Will be interested to see which way it ends up swinging.
ahahahahahahhahahahahaha. That is all.......... Wait......... ahahahahhahahahahaha.
Election 2013 | Abbott's campaign kick off (by ten)
"...it's direct action, providing real solutions, and a green army, so that it's real practical solutions...well it's a real solution because you're planting real trees...you have a real army of people going out there planting trees...we're doing more than planting trees -- we're planting trees, we have a solar panel..."
Hear that??? They have a solar panel!!! The environment is saved! This guy obviously hasn't got his bullshitting skills down yet...but his random gibberish skills are top shelf! He makes the Liberal's border protection policy sound like it's been developed by the underpants gnomes...
Step 1: Turn back the boats.
???
???
???
???
Err, umm, border protection problem solved???
(Of course, to even refer to the boat people issue in any way as a "border protection" or "defense" problem is to buy into the political bullshit we are being fed. It's poor people on leaky boats. It a humanitarian issue first and foremost.)
At least this nugget didn't win his seat.
